  • Celebrating Veganuary with Innovation! 🌱 Last year, 25 million people took part in Veganuary—a month dedicated to exploring plant-based living and its impact on health, sustainability, and the environment, highlighting the importance of innovation in plant-based solutions and sustainable farming. Here in the East of England, we’re proud to support businesses driving this transformation, including Viridian Seeds and Kyomei. Viridian Seeds is developing improved varieties of nutritious super-legumes that reduce carbon emissions by 50%, supporting the transition to sustainable agriculture and food production while accelerating the shift to plant-based diets. Kyomei is a biotech start-up transforming crop leaves into plant bio-factories for ingredients that are otherwise difficult to procure naturally, highly unsustainable, or derived from animal sources.
