Everything comes back to #purpose 🙏
Having fully settled back into 'work mode,' I’ve spent time catching up with the Events Apprenticeships team—and wow, there’s been a lot happening!
Richard Waddington has been on the move, passionately advocating for everything #apprenticeships, making sure the conversation is heard loud and clear 📣
The team also had a productive discussion with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) about #prioritysectors within the #visitoreconomy.
These discussions emphasize the importance of viewing #tourism, #hospitality, and #events as ONE sector, a vital step in ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve ❗
As @Baroness Jacqui Smith, Minister for Skills, aptly stated:
"Apprenticeships are vital to our mission to grow the economy, and to breaking down the barriers to opportunity for young people and adults alike."
This has always been at the heart of the Events Apprenticeships mission, and it’s exciting to see these priorities gaining traction in #Government.
Personally, my journey with Events Apprenticeships started nearly two years ago as a volunteer. Watching it evolve into a key driver of #opportunity and #growth, as highlighted by Skills England, has been truly inspiring.
Taking time to reflect has reignited my #purpose, and I’m more motivated than ever to help shape the future 🙌
