Spreading the Christmas cheer! One of our Mechanical Directors, Kevan Thomas, kindly donated a generous amount of selection boxes to Stockton Council this month. Lisa Evans, the Deputy Leader of Stockton Council, organises the selection boxes to be distributed to various charities across the area during the festive period. This year, the contribution has helped Mill Lane and Tilley schools, and well as The Amal Project and Eastern Ravens Trust. Intelect Mechanical have been donating to this cause for 10 years now, and are proud to continue supporting the initiative. #Donation #Charity #Community #Teesside #Support

What a night! 🎉 🏆 We were proud to sponsor the TTE Apprentice of the Year Award at last night’s Middlesbrough College Group 2024 Apprenticeship Awards. The event took place at Middlesbrough Football Club, where the nominees, mentors and sponsors gathered to celebrate their achievements over the past academic year. As one of our longest standing training providers, we were proud to be supporting this event and celebrate so many talented young people, who no doubt have great futures ahead of them. We would like to say huge well done to everyone involved!

Earlier this week, our Business Operations Manager, Lily Brothwood attended the Power Of Women💥23/24 Impact Report launch event at Thirteen. It was great to be part of their celebration of success, bringing many of the partners together to reflect on the charity’s achievements in the past academic year. It’s fantastic to witness and play a part in the impact this charity has made in recent times, and we look forward to supporting them with the steps they hope to take in the future. We are proud to have already committed to hosting another engineering insight day, in partnership with POW, during National Apprenticeship Week 2025. As well as this, Lily also had the pleasure of visiting Marton Manor Primary School, where she helped to choose their next Power of Women ambassadors. Interviewing 12 young candidates, ages 9 to 10, Lily asked them various questions about why they wanted to be a POW Ambassador, and who inspires them. After a challenging decision and much deliberation, the 4 new ambassadors were welcomed into the Primary Ambassador Programme, which is currently active across 24 schools within the Tees Valley, and will see over 100 aspiring youngsters aiming to make a change when it comes to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We wish them the best of luck in their new roles and look forward to welcoming them to Intelect in the New Year! #PowerOfWomen #POW202324 #Empowering #Educating #Teesside #Community

National Engineering Day 2024 Led by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), National Engineering Day aims to make engineering and the UK’s engineers more visible. Yesterday was celebration of how engineers enhance our daily lives and help shape the future. This year’s theme for National Engineering Day is engineering role models. Research shows that engineering-specific role models are a strong influencing factor on young people to choose engineering. It is important that we are seeking role models to inspire the next generation to take on these careers. Many engineers find inspiration through family, teachers, or prominent figures in their lives. They can also come from childhood experiences, such as building projects or workshops, which can spark an interest in solving problems and making a positive contribution to society. In relation to the RAEng collecting nominations for the best engineering role models, we asked a few of our employees the question; who inspired you to be who you are today? We got answers of their parents, grandparents, tutors, and friends, all influencing them to take the path of engineering. It is imperative we draw attention to these inspirational figures, and encourage young people to achieve their ambitions. #NationalEngineeringDay #NationalEngineeringDay2024 #YoungTalent #Teesside #Skills #Future #Growth
