As one who does a lot of technical and legal writing, tools are absolutely essential as are selecting the best style guide. Unfortunately, I use a hybrid of methods now with Chicago as my primary style and IEEE for referencing. The latest version of PerfectIt™, a product I rely on daily for my writing, introduced something I had not heard of before called Microsoft Style Guide. One we're looking forward to hearing is Developing Early Career Medical Writers While Navigating Real-Time Projects and Skills Assessment from Day 1, with @AmericaMast and @JudyBleeker. As new Medical Writers enter the field, it can be a challenge for Medical Writing teams to develop early career writers while managing a high volume of work - especially when timelines are being expedited.
