🌟 Latest from the Women in Crystallography video series! In the fourth episide in this series, Anna Pakhomova from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) shares her journey in crystallography. She discusses the unique challenges of balancing an international research career with life outside of work. The project’s scope is to celebrate the importance of women in the field of crystallography and science while raising awareness about the pitfalls and obstacles on the way to reach gender parity in science, eliminate stereotypes, increase sensitivity and facilitate equal treatment of everyone at all stages of a scientific career. 🎥 Don’t miss her story and insights as part of this ongoing celebration of women in science and crystallography! This series is part of a project by the GIG03 of the European Crystallographic Association (ECA), a regional associate of the IUCr, with support from the Royal Society of Chemistry’s "Inclusion and Diversity Fund". https://lnkd.in/e3gwyWj3

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the death of Sine Larsen, a highly esteemed member of the IUCr community. Sine held key leadership roles within the IUCr, serving as General Secretary and Treasurer and subsequently as IUCr President. Her dedication to the Union and to the field of crystallography was unparalleled. During her tenure as General Secretary and Treasurer she worked closely with the IUCr staff in Chester, creating a sense of community that we will always remember with gratitude. Her contributions and legacy will continue to inspire the IUCr and the broader scientific community. A full obituary will be published in due course.
