In Lung Cancer Awareness Month, we’re raising awareness of work-related lung cancer. Unlike an accident in the workplace, the impact of exposure to lung cancer causing carcinogens such as asbestos, silica dust and diesel fumes may not be noticeable for many years due to the latency period. This can be decades afterwards, but those impacts can be life-limiting and life-ending. Deaths from work-related lung cancer are preventable. It’s ten years ago this month since we launched our No Time to Lose occupational cancer campaign. It highlighted the risks of cancer-causing workplace carcinogens and provided guidance for employers and employees on how to prevent exposures. As we mark Lung Cancer Awareness Month and the tenth anniversary of our campaign, we encourage everyone to find out more on how to protect your people from work-related lung cancer here: https://lnkd.in/ew_w-RVn #LungCancerAwarenessMonth #Asbestos #SilicaDust #DieselFumes #NTTL
