Generation Collaboration: Mentorship in Action at the London Market Conference 2024 The insurance industry is filled with incredible opportunities, and it’s time we showcase it more! At the "Generations in Partnership" panel last Tuesday, Elisabeth Groehe ACII, Senior Underwriter, and Elena Holt, Assistant Underwriter from IQUW, highlighted how Lloyd's innovation can attract emerging talent—but there’s more we can do to promote it. Elisabeth, who started her career pre-COVID, experienced invaluable in-person support, while Elena began her journey during the pandemic, navigating a very different, remote start. This contrast underscored the importance of mentorship as part of our DE&I commitment, helping level the playing field for all newcomers. The mentorship panel provided a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and strengthen our commitment to supporting future leaders. Andrew Lewis & Insurance Day - Cyber market too focused on growth While rates are still satisfactory, if they continue to drop quickly next year, Andy Lewis, Lead Underwriter for Cyber at IQUW expects things to get ‘very uncomfortable’.
