At IS2 we have worked on a lot of projects for Schemes over the years, including many digital implementations with our colleagues at Hiscox. Having implemented our first digital scheme around 12 years ago with Hiscox, we have seen and learnt a lot in that time. Lee Turner of Hiscox has been instrumental in guiding the specific requirements of technology for schemes, and in particular how the bespoke nature of the scheme and service proposition is maintained in a digital version. Something we have always been very conscious of, and the importance of differentiation, over and above a different logo and colour. It’s been really interesting to see how its developed over time, from the early quote & buy websites, through to the sophisticated full lifecycle implementations we offer now. No doubt, there has been a realisation that the build it, and they will come, vision is not going to deliver visitors to an online customer facing scheme. Although with the niche nature of a scheme, it is still possible to increase reach, with for example, careful alignment with relevant online communities and an effective traffic generation programme. And technology that means the scheme can be offered and embedded in new distribution channels. The efficiencies a digital scheme can deliver with effective automation, are equally as valid as driving more GWP. Whether its administration, underwriting workflow, or something as simple as BDX submission. If you would be interested in seeing the IS2 schemes capability, please message me.
