In this Q3 update, we share our snapshot of the DC pensions market, commenting on: ✅ Performance of diversified growth strategies ✅ How providers approach all-equity strategies and our views on currency hedging ✅ Initial reaction to the Mansion House speech Read the full update here: https://lnkd.in/egvfziZQ Sukhdeep R., Director, comments: “Over Q3 2024, all major asset classes delivered positive returns, with emerging markets looking more favourable than developed markets, given attractive valuations and a positive economic outlook. This performance boosted both the growth phase and at-retirement performance in DC arrangements. In November 2024, the Chancellor delivered her first Mansion house speech setting out plans to create “megafunds” to power growth in the economy and hailing them as the most significant change in pensions for 20 years. Proposals included introducing minimum size requirements for default arrangements, allowing the override of individual contracts to allow the bulk transfer of assets and to increase the role of employers in assessing value in their pension arrangements. Look out for our next issue where we will discuss this in more detail.” #DefinedContribution #MarketUpdate #MasterTrusts
