Why did IWTM-UK win the CSA Environmental Contribution Award 2024? 🎉 At least 380,000 litres of water saved compared with chemical flushing, potentially more. 🎉 A minimum of 160 no. of 25litre drums of chemicals prevented from being transported and used. 🎉 5 tanker lorries stopped from travelling to and from site to remove the system water that was too badly contaminated to obtain a waste water license. 🎉 We did not use ANY chemicals in the cleaning process. 🎉 System remained live at all times with no downtime. IWTM-UK won the CSA Environmental Contribution Award 2024 for innovative work with CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) and Redcentric remediating the data centre water quality using chemical-free water treatment. Industry leading specialists in chemical-free water treatment and control
About us
IWTM-UK enjoy over 30 years experience as a market leading manufacturer of chemical-free solutions for the treatment, management and control of water for technical purposes. IWTM's technology is a truly environmentally friendly solution, meeting Europe's most stringent water quality standards - VDI 2035 - without the need for chemicals or compromise. Using sacrificial magnesium anodes to extract oxygen, acid and aggressive salts from the water, the IWTM Protector addresses both the symptoms and root cause of corrosion within recirculation heating and cooling systems. Our proven technology engineers optimum environments for these systems, one where corrosion can't occur and bacteria can't survive. Serving both domestic and commercial markets, our comprehensive range of products combine to ensure the operational reliability and efficiency of your systems, protecting and extending the operational life of expensive assets, increasing energy efficiency whilst reducing running costs and avoiding unnecessary maintenance costs and system downtime. IWTM technology can be incorporated within newly commissioned installations or retro-fitted to existing systems to clean and restore the water quality and our in-house team welcome enquiries relating to system function, specification and design for new build, conversion and renovation projects. Suitable for any size or type of closed loop heating or cooling system such as homes, apartments, advanced systems incorporating underfloor heating, heat pumps, commercial, hotel and leisure, district heating or even power stations, IWTM engineering ensures greater energy efficiency, sustained trouble-free operation and essential compliance with warranty conditions.

1 MILLION LITRE CHEMICAL-FREE SYSTEM BEING COMMISSIONED. Our Engineer Asrith Puttaganti was on site this week carrying out the initial commissioning of our equipment for this Medium Temperature Hot Water (MTHW) network for a manufacturing facility. Working with our client Vital Energi Utilities Limited, 4 of our IWTM Industrial T1000 reaction tanks will maintain the water to the stringent client requirements. The T1000 units which have DNV Marine approval https://lnkd.in/etUeZucm for their high temperature and high-pressure ratings will meet the demands of the TUV certification process for the system. Our 4no. ProFill 50 array skid provides the system feed and top up water in accordance with VDI 2035 and our DFU controller will relay the filling and conductivity data to the BMS system. By IWTM-UK bringing our vast Nordic experience to the UK, we are proudly leading the way in delivering water quality for large volume networks. *More images to follow after the final commissioning*

DATA CENTRE PROJECT NOMINATED FOR 2nd AWARD. We are pleased to announce that our data centre project for CBRE at Redcentric has been selected as a 2024 CSA Awards Finalists for the Environmental Contribution Award, the aim of this project was to clean up a data centre chilled water network to make it acceptable for the new chillers that required a chemical free standard that was very close to the requirements of VDI 2035. Our solution which included the installation of 4 no. IWTM Protector® P70’s resulted in saving 380m³ of filling water, cleaning the system without the need to drain, no dumping or removal of water, no wastewater licences or tankers and not 1 litre of chemicals used in the cleaning process. This project has already won CBRE Global Workplace Solutions Innovation of the Year Award. Thank you to Billy Gunn at IMPERIAL HEATING SERVICES LTD , Aaron Housen at Dunamis Heating & Mechanical Services Ltd, Chris Flaherty EngTech LCGI MCIPHE at Vietec Heating Limited and Warren Knowles at Protechnical Services LLC for all their varied skill sets in delivering this project to our client and for CBRE for the opportunity to work on this project which enabled them to see the future potential of our chemical-free water treatment in providing a cleaner more environmentally friendly solution for their data centre clients. IWTM are constantly developing our technology to set us apart as World Leaders in chemical-free water treatment, so we are really pleased to be launching the latest product in the IWTM Protector™ range which, from its range of 7 size models can cover from 120m³ to 1500m³ of system volume in one reaction tank saving space and costs on large scale heating or cooling networks that require operation to the VDI 2035 standard. The P120 to P1500 product has been developed to complement our high temperature/high pressure industrial range that we have historically used for large-scale district heat networks. The P120 to P1500 standard design is to work on the lower operating temperatures and pressures that many modern heat networks require. As standard the units are designed to operate at 10 bar and a maximum 90⁰C, with BMS connections available for the anode output. We also have options for the range as below: - 110⁰C model - 16bar - Left or right-handed inlet/outlet connections - Electronic pressure sensors on the anode filter. It was great to work on the product development over the last 22 months with Geir Qvam Ebbestad and with IWTM's new outsourcing manufacturing partner Mecalia, S.L. View the product manual here... 🙌

If you have heard of chemical-free water treatment, likely is you have also heard of VDI 2035... Although we talk a lot about VDI 2035 because this is what HVAC equipment manufacturers often require for warranty, this standard was produced more than 35 years after electrochemistry for closed loop heating and cooling started. We believe IWTM offer more comprehensive water quality results than the guidelines actually require, we simply make achieving the control of the pH, dissolved oxygen and the conductivity a whole lot easier. In our recent article, MD David Whitfield EngTech LCIBSE, discusses IWTM being early adopters in electrochemistry chemical-free water treatment for heating systems & how we achieve compliance with the end result that VDI 2035 requires. #chemicalfreewatertreatment #vdi2035 #cfwt #cibse #hvac #lthw #cws #mthw #electrochemistry

IWTM Protector P300 & ProFill Array – This week our Protector P300 and Protector ProFill array have left our factory for delivery to a 250,000-litre district heating network in London. They are being installed on an existing network by our District Heating client to restore the water quality and convert it to the chemical free water treatment requirements of VDI 2035. The Protector P300 is from our new range that starts at P120 and goes up to P1500 enabling us to look after a 1.5million litre network with one reaction tank. The sight glass enables a visual anode inspection without the need to open the tank. The Protector ProFill array is fitted with our DFU filling unit that will connect to the BMS and provide all the filling and water conductivity data and early warning of the resin expiry. #VDI2035 #chemicalfree #chemicalfreewatertreatment #watertreatment #CIBSE
