Proposing a modern interpretation of style, gender and dress.
About us
Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson established JW Anderson in 2008. At first an elaborate collection of accessories quickly attracted attention, enabling the fledgling label to show on-schedule during 2008’s London Fashion Week. Its unique design aesthetic offers a modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity by creating thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear elements. This idiosyncratic perspective, which earned the label a cult following, prompted JW Anderson to present a women’s capsule collection in 2010. JW Anderson has evolved into an internationally renowned and award-winning brand. In the past accolades have included British Fashion Awards for ‘Emerging Talent, Ready-to-Wear’ (2012), ‘The New Establishment Award’ (2013) and 'Menswear Designer of the Year' (2014). Most recently at the 2015 British Fashion Awards the brand received an historic double award for ‘Menswear’ and ‘Womenswear Designer of the Year’, the first time any brand has ever won both prestigious awards. Most recently, at the 2017 British Fashion Awards the brand received the award of 'Womenswear Designer of the Year'.

Love this write up👌🏽 Gretat Job Team JWA
#LONDON #FASHIONWEEK Glorifying nostalgia was the theme at the latest JW Anderson A show presented in a moment when songs of a near half-century ago can become global hits and the model's hair style reminds the past. That’s not to suggest that the clothes were traditional – anything but. From proportion to construction, Anderson keeps on breaking new ground. Like his brilliant cable-knit tops and mini cocktails cut Centurion style, in three-inch thick strands of wool. Followed by thick retro mohair chess piece dresses finished with sweatshirt trim. Both sure to ignite fresh trends and be copied by high street brands. Another indication of Anderson’s importance for UK fashion. Few fantastically large coats whose shoulders were almost three times the size of the models wearing them, with sleeves reaching all the way to the ankles. Referencing a time when people bought cloth themselves “The odd types of Britain. The grotesque and the pragmatic. That strange TV program 'Last of the Summer Wine'. The idea of how you take something familiar and break it into something new – a hat that was a wig, a coat with lining completely ripped. Celebrating odd culture,” opined Anderson post-show. LVMH
