North Korea is the most dangerous place in the world to follow Jesus, according to Open Doors International’ new World Watch List report, featured in leading Australian media outlet Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) News today. North Korea escapee and Open Doors spokesperson Timothy Cho revealed the daily risks and persecution Christians face in the Hermit Kingdom in the article, saying that a person’s Christian faith is considered treason and a “crime of all crimes”, punishable by being sent to a gulag or execution. The charity, which is working with Jersey Road Australia, has published the list for more than 30 year and is playing a critical role in continuing to highlight the dangers Christians face in North Korea and other countries at the top of the list, including Pakistan, India, Myanmar and China. Adam Holland, Open Doors Australia & New Zealand CEO, said: "We can just get a bit numb to the fact that people are dying”. https://lnkd.in/exNdQD3C (https://lnkd.in/exNdQD3C) #opendoorsaustralia #commsagency #Northkorea

  • In the age of digital content and influencers 👩💼 , is AI actually swinging the pendulum swinging back to traditional forms of media? Our Reputation Management Account Manager Vicki Vaughan reflects on a new report looking into the role editorial media plays in influencing AI algorithms 📱 around brand reputation and trustworthiness. #commsagency  #AI

Is traditional media relations redundant in the age of influencers and AI? The latest stats might surprise you… It was September 2001 when I started my career in PR. I get a bit nostalgic thinking back to live press conferences, couriering b-roll over to TV studios and stuffing press packs in the office late at night while eating pizza take-out. Some of you were there. Ask ChatGPT how different PR is compared with twenty years ago and it will tell you that PR used to rely heavily on traditional media but now it’s about influencer engagement, content creation, digital interaction etc. It’s interesting then that ChatGPT itself relies on editorial media for nearly two-thirds of their content about brand reputation according to this research. https://lnkd.in/emtXGe6J When you ask if a brand is trustworthy then editorial media has an even greater influence, with social media coming in at just under 1%. As AI integrates into all our lives (and thoughts?) maybe we’ll see a pendulum swing back to when we valued traditional media above all else, especially in the world of reputation management. Quite reassuring for us old-timers!
