HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! For JKP, 2024 was another highly successful and eventful year with new and existing clients enjoying our outstanding service and product quality. We introduced a few new products and are working on more for 2025. We would like to thank every single one of our clients for their ongoing support, constructive criticism, optimistic scheduling, frequent last minute demands, innovative ideas and occasional whacky ones - we wouldn't have it any other way! On Friday November 15th the management team of JKP enjoyed the most prestigious and enjoyable industry evening of the year at the magnificent Drapers Hall in the city of London. As Management Teams go don't they brush up well, left to right Jade Martin - Financial Controller, Rhys Powell - General Manager, Kas Powell - Commercial Manager, Harry Smith - Engineering Manager and Jack Bowler - Production Manager. The MPMA (Metal Packaging Manufacturers' Association) Annual dinner was definitely the best in recent years with pre-covid traditions re introduced, a fantastic turnout, great comedian and of course the very best food, drink and friends. Thanks to the #MPMA for another superb event and we'll see you all next year!

PLASTIC TAX!! From April 2024, 'Plastic Packaging Tax' also known as PPT, will increase to a massive £217.75/tonne on all plastic packaging imported to the UK that contains less than 30% recycled material. All tinplate packaging products made by JKP and indeed other tinplate packaging companies is 100% recyclable and all raw materials used have at least 56% recycled content and in fact usually more. If it can be made in both plastic and tinplate - choose TINPLATE EVERY TIME!! JKP not only produces tube ends, but also a range of 2 piece cans in tinplate. Tinplate is a robust, recyclable, reassuring, really really green material. You know it makes sense.
