Yesterday morning, bright and early at The Bishopsgate Institute, the JLA team had the pleasure of hosting our latest Speakers Breakfast, Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day. Yesterday, we had the honour of welcoming the 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning coach, Sir Clive Woodward to the JLA offices! Sir Clive generously shared his insights into building high-performing teams, drawing on his experiences in both elite sports coaching and successful business leadership. He spoke in detail about his time as England Rugby coach, explaining how he cultivated a winning culture by leading the team to develop a set of “Teamship Rules”. These rules served as a foundation that empowered players to contribute meaningfully, fostered collaboration, and instilled a strong sense of personal accountability. Sir Clive also highlighted how these principles of Leadership and Teamship can be applied in a corporate setting to achieve exceptional results.
