As the Six Nations captivates rugby fans once again, it’s a perfect reminder of the resilience, strategy, and leadership required to compete at the highest level. Here at JLA, Lucas Powell has explored how some of the sport’s greatest minds, referees, coaches, and players, have taken these lessons beyond the pitch to inspire success in business and everyday life. In his article, Lucas examines how figures like Sir Clive Woodward, Martin Bayfield and Maggie Alphonsi MBE translate their experiences into powerful insights on teamwork, adaptability, and high-performance culture. A must-read for anyone looking to bring a winning mindset to their next event. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dRTPPDiR #JLASpeakers #KeynoteSpeakers #Leadership #Rugby #Success #Teamwork #Resilience

Yesterday morning, bright and early at The Bishopsgate Institute, the JLA team had the pleasure of hosting our latest Speakers Breakfast, Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day. We had the privilege of hearing from four remarkable women, each making a significant impact in media, politics, sport, and groundbreaking research into online extremism. Their stories of breaking barriers in male-dominated industries, uncovering the alarming rise of online misogynistic groups, and driving meaningful change were both eye-opening and empowering. Alongside these insights, they also explored practical ways to support this year’s International Women’s Day theme: #AcceleratingAction. A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers - Maryam Moshiri, Dr Julia Ebner, Maggie Alphonsi MBE, and Penny Mordaunt - as well as everyone who joined us. Your engagement and enthusiasm made this event one of our best. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #SpeakersBreakfast #Inspiration #BreakingBarriers

Yesterday, we had the honour of welcoming the 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning coach, Sir Clive Woodward to the JLA offices! Sir Clive generously shared his insights into building high-performing teams, drawing on his experiences in both elite sports coaching and successful business leadership. He spoke in detail about his time as England Rugby coach, explaining how he cultivated a winning culture by leading the team to develop a set of “Teamship Rules”. These rules served as a foundation that empowered players to contribute meaningfully, fostered collaboration, and instilled a strong sense of personal accountability. Sir Clive also highlighted how these principles of Leadership and Teamship can be applied in a corporate setting to achieve exceptional results.
