  • 🛠️ Engaging Boys and Men in Gender Transformation: The Group Education Manual 📚 We ❤️ this Group Education Manual by EngenderHealth’s ACQUIRE Project and Instituto Promundo —designed to engage boys and men in gender equality, healthy relationships, and violence prevention. Gender norms can reinforce harmful behaviours and limit opportunities for people of different genders—this toolkit provides structured activities, discussions, and reflection exercises to promote positive masculinities and gender equity. At a time when anti-feminist rhetoric is escalating globally, it is crucial to equip men and boys with the tools to challenge harmful gender norms, build respectful relationships, and contribute to gender justice. 🔑 Key Takeaways from the Manual 🌍 Gender Norms & Power Dynamics: The manual challenges harmful gender stereotypes, helping participants explore how masculinity is shaped, reinforced, and can be transformed. 🛠️ Interactive & Participatory Exercises 🔹 Act Like a Man vs. Act Like a Woman – Deconstructing restrictive gender expectations. 🔹 The Talking Stick – A structured approach to active listening and respectful dialogue. 🔹 Healthy & Unhealthy Relationships – Helping men recognise and challenge toxic relationship patterns. 🔹 HIV & STI Prevention – Addressing risk-taking behaviours and sexual health through open discussions. ⚖️ Promoting Accountability & Violence Prevention: Sessions focus on men holding other men accountable, challenging normalised violence, and developing constructive alternatives to aggression and control. 📢 Fatherhood & Caregiving as Pathways to Gender Equality: Encouraging men to be active caregivers, supportive partners, and positive role models in their families and communities. If your organisation holds at-risk materials, we urge you to share, archive, and amplify them. 📣

  • 🛠️ Guide on Inclusive Youth Consultations 📚 We ❤️ this Guide on Inclusive Youth Consultations by Larissa Ahanhanzo and João Souza and the United Network of Young Peacebuilders and the Youth Excel programme at IREX! Meaningful youth engagement is too often tokenistic, with young people treated as participants rather than co-creators in decision-making spaces. This guide provides practical tools to ensure youth are engaged as equal partners in peacebuilding and policymaking. At a time when youth-led movements are shaping global activism but remain sidelined in formal decision-making, this resource is essential for governments, NGOs, and institutions committed to genuine intergenerational collaboration. 🔑 Key Takeaways from the Guide 🌍 Beyond Tokenism: Youth as Co-Creators: Consultations must move beyond symbolic participation—young people must have real influence over decision-making processes and outcomes. 🛠️ Practical Tools for Inclusive Consultations: The guide provides checklists, planning frameworks, and engagement strategies to make consultations accessible, representative, and impactful. 📊 Power Dynamics & Intersectionality Matter: Not all youth experiences are the same. The guide highlights how age discrimination (adultism) intersects with gender, race, disability, and economic background, shaping whose voices get heard. ⚖️ Accountability & Follow-Up Are Essential: Young people should not be left wondering if their input made a difference. The guide outlines validation and follow-up processes to ensure accountability. How is your organisation ensuring that youth engagement is meaningful?👇🏾 ‼️ We are dedicated to preserving USAID resources on gender equality, inclusiveness, and social justice, especially as many are being removed. If your organisation holds at-risk materials, we urge you to share, archive, and amplify them. 📣

  • 🛠️ A Guide for Strengthening Gender Equality & Inclusiveness in Teaching and Learning Materials 📚 We are committed to ensuring that critical USAID resources on gender equality, inclusiveness, and social justice remain accessible, especially as many of these materials are being removed or deprioritised. In times when hard-won progress is at risk, we are making every effort to become a repository for these invaluable resources—so that this knowledge, research, and guidance does not disappear. Education and advocacy is built on evidence, best practices, and lived experiences. By preserving and sharing these materials, we are ensuring that policymakers, educators, and activists continue to have the tools needed to advance gender equality and inclusion in education and beyond. If your organisation has access to USAID resources at risk of being lost, we encourage you to share, archive, and amplify this work. Knowledge must remain a public good. We ❤️ this guide from USAID. It provides practical strategies to develop and evaluate teaching and learning materials that minimise bias, promote equality, and reflect diverse identities and experiences. Education has the power to reinforce or dismantle systemic inequality. This guide equips educators and decision-makers with the tools to create learning environments where all students can thrive. 🔑 Key Takeaways from the Guide 🔑 🌍 Representation Matters: Teaching materials should include equal and diverse representation of women, men, non-binary individuals, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities, ensuring all learners see themselves reflected in positive, non-stereotypical roles. 🖍️ Illustrations & Language Must Be Inclusive: Visuals and text should challenge traditional gender roles, avoid reinforcing stereotypes, and promote positive portrayals of diverse communities. 📊 Assessing Bias in Learning Materials: The guide includes practical checklists and worksheets to evaluate existing content, ensuring gender-transformative and inclusive narratives in education. ⚖️ Breaking Barriers for Marginalised Learners: By removing stereotypes and incorporating diverse perspectives, education systems can empower all students, particularly those historically excluded or underrepresented. 💬 How is your organisation working towards gender-inclusive education?👇🏾

  • 🛠️ Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) Organisational Action Toolkit 📚 "In diversity, there is beauty and there is strength." - Maya Angelou. Achieving Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) is an ethical responsibility and strategic necessity for dismantling systemic inequities. We ❣️ this toolkit from Tolulope Oyetunde, MS, MPH, Adrianna Boulin, and Jeanie Holt. It provides practical tools, assessments, and action steps to help organisations embed racial equity into governance, programmes, partnerships, communications, and advocacy. At a time when structural racism, economic inequality, and political polarisation continue to impact EVERYONE (!), we must lead by example in creating equitable, inclusive, and justice-driven spaces. 🔑 Key Takeaways from the Toolkit 🌍 Why Racial Equity Must Be a Priority: Racism is a root cause of public health, economic, and social disparities. Nonprofits cannot effectively serve communities without addressing structural injustice within their own organisations. 🛠️ Practical Assessments & Actionable Strategies: The toolkit provides five key self-assessments to evaluate JEDI practices across: 🔹 Governance – Building diverse leadership and ensuring decision-making reflects the communities served. 🔹 Mission-Driven Programmes – Embedding JEDI principles into service delivery, programme design, and impact evaluation. 🔹 Partnerships – Creating alliances with organisations and funders that align with racial equity goals. 🔹 Communication – Ensuring inclusive, accessible, and equity-driven internal and external messaging. 🔹 Advocacy – Strengthening the organisation’s role in policy change, community organising, and justice-driven movements. 📢 Moving from Performative to Transformative Action: The toolkit supports organisations in moving beyond statements to implementing concrete policies, accountability measures, and sustainable JEDI frameworks. 💬 How is your organisation continuing to embed JEDI principles into its work? 👇🏾

At a time of escalating political tensions, human rights rollbacks, and deepening divisions, taking care of our mental well-being is more important than ever. 🔑 Key Takeaways 🌍 Acknowledge the Difficulty: It’s right to feel anger, fear, or grief when political events conflict with your values, challenge your rights or create uncertainty about the future.
