    Little tip for you - you can throw all the training in the world at people, but if you don't tackle their mindset issues things are not going to change in the long term. I've seen it before, where I spend time with teams and because they're lacking in self-belief, self-worth and confidence, once I leave they fall straight back into those old habits. Just to share a personal example of how important mindset is, over the last couple of weeks I had another dip in my own mindset and Wednesday eve last week I had what I would describe as a meltdown. I was too mentally exhausted to stay positive and anxiety and worry took over. I wasn't going to achieve anything in that state and I knew it. I luckily had someone I knew I could speak to, a coach and very special friend Jo P., who worked with me to switch my thoughts and focus. I woke up on Thursday feeling a million times better; I knew my worth, believed in myself again and my mind was free of those unhelpful and horrible thoughts. As a result, I then went on to convert £6,166.50 (that 50p matters you know) worth of business in 5 days, with more on the horizon to come in before the week is over.     When you go to work for an agency, or you set up on your own, there are usually two ways of working that are adopted (on the whole); the 180 or 360 model. Some people have one that they favour, others think both work, but I’m seeing more and more people have strongly held views on this, with some going as far to say that the 360 recruitment model is dead! But can a model that works so well when adopted in the right way really be over and done with?! Are the agencies out there with a more specialised approach actually getting out in front? Like with anything there are pros and cons to both models, and I hear of success stories on both sides. ⭐ People argue that 360 recruiters have all the tools to leave and set up on their own ⭐ Juggling your client and candidate work can be incredibly rewarding, but also overwhelming ⭐ It can be a lot easier to understand everyone's needs when you’ve been fully involved in the process. With so many questions and lots of differing opinions, it’s time to investigate in more detail. My guest on this show is Alex Dick, CEO of Alexander Lyons Solutions, a growing international agency. Alex has been in recruitment for just short of 20 years, and many of you will have seen his posts and passion around remote working and ethical and effective management styles, but he also has another passion…360 recruitment.   • The importance of our mindset in recruitment has been coming up A LOT in conversations I've had recently. 🧠 If I think of the times as a consultant when I had dips in my performance, it was because I had let my negative thoughts take over and things just spiralled from there. I would bet on 99.9% of you reading this relating to that too. Earlier this year I made a video sharing some mindset tips that I use myself, but also support people with when I'm working with agencies/consultants. I'm sharing the link here for anyone who needs help with this at the moment, OR has members of their team who are struggling. On a side note, training is not the answer to dealing with this long term...it's COACHING. Despite what some people think, training and coaching are not the same!
