It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Claive Vidiz, Master of the Quaich and Brazilian whisky legend. Claive was a proud member of our Society and contributed so much to the prestige and reputation of Scotch whisky in his homeland and also here in Scotland through his famous whisky collection that is on display at the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh. We send our condolences and best wishes to Claive’s family on behalf of everyone at Keepers of the Quaich.

On Monday we hosted the Autumn 2024 Banquet of Keepers of the Quaich at the stunning Blair Castle in Perthshire, and what an epic evening it was. Our Guest of Honour was none other than the global rock & roll legend Sir Rod Stewart accompanied by the wonderful Penny Lancaster. Sir Rod brought his inimitable personality, charm and star quality to the event, treating our guests to an intimate Q&A before performing his iconic hit Maggie May with our house band The Spirit of the Quaich. We are proud that Sir Rod is now an Honorary Keeper of the Quaich and we wish him and his team at Wolfie's Whisky all the very best for the future!
