About us
Kids Invent Stuff is a unique initiative inspiring the next generation of innovators by bringing children’s invention ideas to life. Aimed at engaging 4-11 year olds, we work with schools, communities, and families to spark creativity and encourage hands-on problem-solving skills. Through face-to-face workshops, school assemblies, community events, and our popular YouTube channel, we bring kids’ wildest invention ideas to life. From building a jet-powered go-kart and a flame-throwing piano to an umbrella hat for dogs, we take children’s imaginative concepts and turn them into real, working creations. Each build is featured on our YouTube channel, offering an exciting, family-friendly platform for celebrating young inventors and their incredible ideas. Our mission is to show kids that engineering and creativity can be exciting, accessible, and fun. Whether it’s leading classroom challenges, hosting live demonstrations, or collaborating with schools to inspire STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) learning, we’re passionate about giving children the confidence to explore and innovate. By providing a platform for their ideas, we aim to empower the next generation of inventors, problem-solvers, and dreamers. We did it! Our first ever live Kids Invent Stuff Invent Stuff show at Gulliver's Theme Park Resorts— and what a show it was! From start to finish, it was a celebration of creativity, chaos, and community. We all learned to be inventors together (even if things got a little messy!), and the energy from the audience was incredible. Not only did they help us test some inventions, but we also achieved a Guinness World Record! A huge thank you to everyone who made it happen— the team at Gullivers (thank you Craig Seedhouse and your amazing team!) Craig Glenday (and the team from Guinness World Records) Gully Mouse for joining in the fun, and the incredible team who kept everything running smoothly: Emily Woods, Phil, Pete Amos from Stream7, Jon Dennis the entire steward team—Molly Nash , Kristy Eggington Mary Amos Fionn Coughlan-Wills Andrew Woods Geoff Amos and Richard Wells. We couldn’t have done it without you! But the most special moment for me? Seeing my old DT teacher in the audience, the person who first sparked my love of inventing, now watching with their grandchild. Full circle moments like that remind me why we do this.
