Yesterday, Freemantle's office kindly hosted the eagerly awaited launch of the GC Wellbeing Network. There was a buzz all around as Dr. Steven MacGregor took a group of lawyers on a captivating and thought provoking journey of awareness. Amongst many familiar faces (and a tempting box of Heros), positive energy flowed. With the ignition of these great ideas, guided by an incredibly engaging speaker, the mutual support in the room was certainly felt. A huge thank you to all who attended and also to Dr Steven. The KGR team got together to strategise, improve, and evolve not only the company but ourselves as well. We were treated to a revitalising session with the truly inspirational Alex Lazarus MSc, CBP. She artfully challenged us to be honest. She dared us to take a more introspective look at ourselves. She demonstrated how teamwork isn't just working together but asking the right questions, personally and professionally and truthfully listening to the answers. She guided us with Wellbeing Priorities and Wheels. She even got us all drawing. And we LOVED it! At it doesn't end there... Alex also is going to following us up on what we have vowed to change. Insurance giant Zurich UK has launched an impressive survey to get to the roots of the employment process for neurodivergent candidates. The results were telling.... From a poll of 1,000 neurodivergent people, results revealed that almost a third (31%) believed that once they had revealed their neurodiversity, their applications were not taken any further. Furthermore, just over half ( 51%) reported a concern that the stigma of their neurodiversity would prevent them from obtaining the job. One of the many conclusions that came out of the survey was that current recruitment processes presented huge hurdles for neurodivergent candidates. The result was a potential exclusion of circa 15% of incredible employees in the market and, equally, the necessity to commence a change at hiring level in the implementation of inclusive practices. https://lnkd.in/d5jpAJdg #inclusion #neurodiversity #equality

On Monday, Team Kingsley Green Recruitment escaped the office and hot stepped it across to Mayfair for a super spoiling lunch at the South American sensation that is Amazónico Restaurants🍹 The nonstop chatter and laughter from Kingsley Green that reverberated around the verdant décor only was temporarily paused when Peruvian peacock pitchers🦚, phenomenal plantain and perfectly 'a plancha' picañha rump steaks🥩 were placed in front of us. Carnival heaven. An afternoon to recharge, regroup and catch up on all things non work related whilst getting lost in the jungle vibes🌴was just the ticket and so important to do.
