Kingston Chamber of Commerce is an independent, non-profit organisation funded entirely by our membership and is one of the largest borough chambers in London. We are affiliated with the London Chamber of Commerce and current Chair of the London Local Chambers. Our mission is to connect, support, and influence businesses in our borough and beyond. To achieve this, we provide networking opportunities, training, advice, and business development opportunities. This year, we are offering fully funded Go Business Programmes designed to support businesses at various stages of their journeys.
Thank you to Kingston Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to attend the official launch of the Kingston Borough Business Awards (KBBA) 2025, on Tuesday 26th November.
Our Group Principal and CEO of South Thames Colleges Group Peter Mayhew-Smith, delivered an inspiring speech representing Kingston College as a proud Gold Sponsor of the awards.
We are proud to reflect on our achievement from last year, where Kingston College received a Highly Commended certificate in the "Removing Barriers Champion" category.
The KBBA aims to celebrate and recognise the remarkable achievements of local businesses that have demonstrated resilience and innovation over the past year. We are looking forward to seeing all the exciting entries for this year's awards!

'Confident in Kingston', our Economic Development Strategy 2024-2028, has now been published. Thank you to everyone who shared their views with us over recent months to help shape it.
The strategy sets out our vision - that Kingston will be increasingly recognised as a place where business flourishes, where investment is welcome and serves all parts of the borough, and puts a green economy is at the heart of our actions. It also recognises that growth of the economy relates closely to the personal growth and opportunity that people should gain through their sense of place, income, skills or wellbeing.
These are complex issue that require diverse input - we look forward to collaborating with our partners and stakeholders to deliver on this strategy!

Please accept my warm invitation to two business events for women in business this and next week.
1. LEADING AS AN INVTROVERT - Business event and meet up for women
Up to 50% of people are introverts, and yet traditional leadership books focus on how to “fix” introversion so you can be a better leader. But what if being quiet made you a better leader?
