🌱 With last week’s Singapore FinTech Festival wrapped up, I’ve reflected on the key themes and takeaways reshaping payments and open banking globally. Key discussions this year focused on regulatory collaboration and customer-centric models. Panels revealed a trend toward “Open Finance,” extending open banking principles across various financial products aiming to give customers more control and boost inclusivity. Insights from policymakers and tech innovators showed how fostering ecosystem collaboration is key to unlocking the full potential of open banking across regions. Some of the messages that resonated with me and the work we’re doing at Konsentus to enable safe and secure open data exchange are: 🔍 RegTech as an enabler of the art of the possible Harnessing technology to protect people’s data and funds is key to driving innovation in open banking 🌐 Navigating the new world of data With data reshaping the payments ecosystem, fintechs face unique challenges and opportunities. Namibia says yes to #openbanking with new partnership with Konsentus! The country’s central bank, Bank of Namibia has officially joined forces with technology solutions provider Konsentus to develop the country’s open banking API standards. Barbara Dreyer , Director of the National Payment System, Bank of Namibia, said, “This work is an integral part of our modernisation strategy.
