Lagan MEICA Ltd and Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) were delighted to support Conor Murphy and Invest Northern Ireland at the launch of the US Net Zero Advisory Board on the 1st October. We were especially pleased with the interest shown by Joe Kennedy III, United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland, in our Hydrogen and Oxygen ecosystem scheme for Northern Ireland Water. We're just at the beginning of an exciting journey into green hydrogen production, with our particular focus on the oxygen by-product. Our trials have demonstrated its ability to significantly enhance wastewater secondary treatment—by increasing capacity, cutting power consumption, and reducing sludge production. It was also a pleasure to see Jon Duffy from CPH2 enjoying the event and making valuable connections, including with Andy Marsh, CEO of US electrolyser manufacturer Plug Power. Together, we're advancing solutions that support a greener future. #LaganMEICA #CPH2 #hydrogen #wastewater

This week is Air Ambulance Week, so we wanted to highlight the life-saving work of our selected charity partner, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. On average, the air ambulance is called out 14 times a week in Northern Ireland and taskings have risen by 50 this year compared to 2023. These incredible crews bring the expertise of a hospital right to the scene of an emergency, performing complex medical procedures when every second counts. Anyone, anywhere, could need this service at any time. To keep this critical service airborne, Air Ambulance NI needs to raise £6,850 every single day from fundraising. By becoming a supporter today, you can help save lives tomorrow. Join as a ‘Club AANI member’ for just £8 a month and help make a real difference. Big thanks to Lagan MEICA’s Catherine Hamill, James Crawford, Neil Mckenzie and Mark McAuley who this morning made use of their volunteer day to hand out marathon packs ahead of Sunday's Moy Park Belfast City Marathon. Our selected charity partner, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, is the dedicated charity for the Moy Park Belfast City Marathon and Half Marathon. On Sunday, over 1000 participants will be running to raise money for Air Ambulance NI, and amongst them will be our colleague, Steve Turner. This is part two of Steve’s fundraising effort after successfully completing the Rome Marathon in March. Steve's dedicated fundraising page can be found here if you would like to donate: https://lnkd.in/d75w-Qaq Good luck to Steve and all those taking part.
