Tonight the sun shone on Cumbria Tourism as we sailed across beautiful Windermere, courtesy of Windermere Lake Cruises, with a boat full of 100 past and present staff and board and committee members in celebration of Cumbria Tourism’s 50th anniversary. There were guests there from each of the five decades. Some had flown in especially for the occasion. The chat and laughter filled the air. It was wonderful to meet so many people who have each played their part in championing and supporting the organisation and the destination. Each of us share a common passion, loving and caring for our fabulous visitor economy and this special place. That's a wrap! 🥳 What a fab couple days I've had at the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show 🙏 I big thank you to Sarah Tasker and Amy Thompson and the rest of the team for organising the event! That's a wrap! The 47th Lakes Hospitality Trade Show is over for another year! On behalf of the LHA, Sarah and myself would like to thank everyone who attended, all our fantastic exhibitors, sponsors, supporters, speakers and chefs and of course our amazing students and staff who helped us on the day. Organising and running the show in a team of two is a huge undertaking but we do our best and create a show that expands year on year with new areas and ideas coming out of each show.
