It’s been an impactful few months for our team in the East Midlands and East of England. From completing five transactions with a combined enterprise value of >£200m; including the successful exits of ENSEK and The Edwin Group and backing Founder of IDSL Ash Malhan on his ambitious growth journey. They took home 'Private Equity Team of the Year' at last week's Rainmaker Awards, their portfolio companies continue to make strides with technology developments, ESG commitments, bolt-ons and just recently Aquavista Watersides & Marinas Shaken Udder Ltd and Neilson Active Holidays have all won industry awards! Beyond their investments, the team continue to support their community, from helping young entrepreneurs grow their business with The King's Trust, to volunteering at 6 food banks and raising £22,000 for local charity When You Wish Upon a Star ❤️ They are excited to continue building on this momentum in 2024 and into 2025. Last night, we had the privilege of attending a fantastic Business Advance networking event at BBC Cymru, bringing together young entrepreneurs from across Wales, alongside mentors and business leaders. We also heard from Robin Moore, who shared how The King's Trust Enterprise programme supported his career and business journey - demonstrating the inspiring impact these initiatives can have. Cardiff is just one of the cities hosting these events during Global Entrepreneurship Week, marking the UK-wide roll-out of Business Advance, a programme designed by LDC and The King's Trust to help young entrepreneurs grow their business. Brinsley Sheridan featured in The LDC Top 50 this year and was awarded 'The Impact Award' - an accolade which recognises the leader who is making a real and positive impact in their industry and in their local community.   Brinsley played football for Bradford City before pivoting into construction and training as a quantity surveyor. He founded his business RE:GEN Group in 2019, working with housing associations and councils to build, improve and modernise social housing. The business stood out for going above and beyond - it runs an academy scheme, offers six-week construction boot camps and free driving lessons for trainees, making sure they have the skills they need to access a new career. #LDCTop50 Hear from Brinsley 👇
