Updates

  • Last week, our teams from Lincoln and Gainsborough came together to assess the progress we've made and to envision the future direction of LEAP. During this meeting, we took a moment to recognise the achievements of our staff members who were unable to join us at our recent awards ceremony. Patricia Robinson, one of our housing and support officers in Lincoln, was honoured with two awards for her exceptional service. Her first accolade was a long service award, which acknowledges her five years of dedicated service at LEAP. The second award, The Vision Award for Lincoln, highlights Patricia's remarkable work ethic. She has consistently gone above and beyond for our tenants, making significant, positive impacts to their lives. In addition to Patricia, Shannon Parker received The Values Award for Gainsborough. As our Housing and Support Manager in Gainsborough, Shannon has championed our core values and cultivated a supportive and inclusive atmosphere at the LEAP Community Hub, empowering both staff and tenants to thrive. Together, Patricia and Shannon exemplify the spirit and dedication that drives our mission forward and we’re grateful to have them part of our team.

  • We want to express our gratitude to the Taste of Excellence Awards, County Life Ltd, and KM Media for hosting such a delightful evening. We are honoured to have been the charity recipient of the funds raised through the evening's raffle. Over £1330 was raised for LEAP, all of which will be used to house and support vulnerable individuals in Lincolnshire.

  • We are currently counting all the donations we've received, but it’s evident that Sleep for LEAP ’24 has been a tremendous success and one of our best events yet! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Bridge McFarland for your fundraising efforts and for joining us on the night. Your presence was delightful, keeping spirits high despite the rain, cold, and discomfort! Additionally, we appreciate everyone who donated. Your contributions will directly assist in providing housing for vulnerable individuals in Lincoln and Gainsborough. A special thanks goes out to the businesses that have supported us, including Domino’s Pizza UK & Ireland Ltd, McDonald's, and Poundland & Dealz. The food and supplies you provided made the night much more manageable. If you didn’t have the opportunity to donate before the event, don’t worry! You can still contribute. We accept donations through our website year-round! Just visit our donation page: https://lnkd.in/eMHR2psp

  • Where has all the time gone? To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we thought we’d take a trip down to the LEAP archives and dig up some old photos that encapsulate our thirty years of service! The first photo is from 2005. LEAP had just received Investors in People accreditation. Pictured are LEAP CEO’s Heidi Walton, Gillian Joanna Merron, Baroness Merron and former trustee, Hannah Spencer. The second photo is from the renovation of Homer House in 2009. Kim Bescoby stands with members of our Lincoln team and Lindum’s Construction in what would become LEAP’s ground floor offices. The third photo is from 2006. Pictured are three former tenants of LEAP moving into Barlow House after it was successfully converted into supported accommodation by LEAP.

  • On September 4th 2024, LEAP held its 30th Anniversary Celebration. The event brought together our Lincoln and Gainsborough teams, along with local stakeholders, trustees and tenants of LEAP. Heidi Walton, CEO of LEAP, had this to say about the celebration: “I am so proud to be a part of this great local charity as it celebrates its 30th anniversary, for which, none of this would be possible without the support of stakeholders, loyal staff, and dedicated Board of Trustees. My personal thanks to all those who helped us celebrate this momentous occasion and a massive thank you to Angela Andrews, CEO of the City Council, for being our special guest of honour.”
