Curious about what Learn Amp | B Corp™ does? Well fret not! We're running a webinar this Friday at 1pm to share our thoughts on the challenges facing L&D professionals, and how our employee development platform can help. Anyone who knows me well can vouch for the fact that I only get behind the things I really believe in. This platform is special; it brings business priorities and people together. It gives you the tools and functionality to take L&D to the next level, and demonstrate your value in no uncertain terms. Check us out and let me know if you agree. Invite in the comments.

Outside of being a BRILLIANT TV show 📺 Severance feels like such an important mirror for us at the moment. At least it is for me and what we’re intending to solve for with Learn Amp | B Corp™. Why is Severance needed? I’d suggest because of a lack of alignment between one’s purpose and their authentic self vs their work reality (where we spend 1/3 of our lives if not more) and their work self. How many workplaces have a culture which allows people to bring themselves to work? To use their uniqueness and personality traits to better the business? To embrace diversity and variety? I believe the more we can be congruent in our personal & professional realities the more we will feel in control, be centred and balanced. More fulfilled and happier. What we need to be af our best. We’ll celebrate who we are and what we can fully bring to our work, our purpose, our dharma. We’ll be more aligned, more energised and more impactful. So let’s work toward less severance and more cohesion 🫶

Severance returns today, but what can we learn from the award-winning TV series? For those of you who may not be familiar, Severance explores the idea of surgically separating your work life from your personal life. Your ‘Outie’ (personal self) knows nothing about your ‘Innie’ (work self) and vice versa. A lot of people may think Severance is about these themes: 👉 Work-life balance – The idea that you can cleanly separate work and life, keeping them in perfect harmony. 👉 Corporate efficiency – A way to increase productivity by removing distractions from employees' personal lives. 👉 Escapism – The fantasy of leaving your work stress behind the moment you clock out. 👉The burden of work – A story about why we should minimise work’s role in our lives as much as possible. But actually, Severance is about: 🧩 The illusion of separation – Work and life don’t exist in isolation; even if we try to compartmentalise, one always shapes the other. 🏭 The cost of control – When organisations prioritise productivity above all else, they risk dehumanising the people within them. 🧑 The fragility of identity – Who we are is shaped by our full experience—without it, we lose something essential. 🤔 The responsibility of engagement – Switching off completely isn’t always the answer; work is part of life, and engaging meaningfully can be just as important as knowing when to step away. Overall, Severance teaches us that work and life are interconnected. Ignoring that fact risks either losing ourselves in work or disengaging entirely. So how will you make sure you bring your best self—both at work and beyond? Reposting as I forgot to make this for 'anyone' before 😅

What am I up to as the new CEO of Learn Amp? 🧐 Yesterday we had an afternoon with our SLT & executive chairman focussing on our team culture and working dynamics🫀 This is the final quarter of our financial year and we want to make 2025 our most impactful year yet. When you put yourself under pressure with expectations it’s even more important your relationships are in a healthy and informed place to perform at speed AND enjoy the experience 👊 So I designed a session with the masterful exec coach & facilitator Lorenzo Martelli, who has decades of experience in the SaaS software space 🪄 We explored where we’re operating well and not so well together, so we can understand our decelerators (to be intentional in avoiding them) & what the opportunities are for accelerating our growth & positive outputs to the world this year. Next week we put our collective & personal action plans together, then Lorenzo will support us in achieving them. Going slower to go faster with purpose & precision can have such an important impact on achieving your intentions 🐢⚡️ What are you doing to prepare for success in 2025? Thanks to Matthew Jeffries Andrew Moseley Taylor Williams Duncan Cheatle for your vulnerability, courage & honesty in yesterday’s session 🙏🏼 Feeling even more excited by what we and our colleagues at Learn Amp | B Corp™ can achieve this year! 🌟💡🌟 And yes we know we need to do more in bringing more diversity to our top team.. a focus area 👀

  • What is the number 1 reason people leave a business?.... ....A lack of career development opportunities. In a LinkedIn report 94% of employees would stay longer at a company if it invested in their career development. So how can you stop a queue of people from queuing for the exit? 🚪 👉 Map out clear career paths. Employees are more likely to stay if they see a clear roadmap for growth and promotion within your organization. 👉 Invest in learning opportunities. Providing access to courses, certifications, and mentorship keeps employees engaged and ready for their next role. 👉 Prioritise internal mobility. Encourage employees to explore new roles or projects internally—it’s the key to keeping talent in-house. Bonus: Start the conversation. Run regular check-ins about career goals to show employees you’re invested in their future. Start today ⌛
