Leighton Park School reposted this
Last night I had the pleasure of presenting my personal journey so far into the world of architecture to GCSE and A Level students at my old school, Leighton Park School I talked through my journey from studying art and textiles at GCSE to recently graduating from Welsh School of Architecture Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University and starting work at CSK Architects as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant. I hope the students left feeling inspired and driven to pursue a career in the creative industries and wish them all the best on their own journeys post Leighton Park. I presented alongside fellow Old Leightonians Harry Cartwright and Archie Dickens as well as current teacher and artist Tom Cartmill. All work in different artistic disciplines but share so many common threads of staying determined and resilient in whatever you do and letting your creative work lead you down your own path. Thank you to Mark Wood, Tash Coccia Debbie Ince and the rest of the art department for putting such a great event in the new Austin lecture theatre. I look forward to coming back to the park to hear the next series of guest speakers share their work in the new year!
