Trinity Laban is absolutely thrilled to receive £664,518 funding over the next 3 years from The Leverhulme Trust, supporting a range of art forms at all levels of training. The continued relationship with the Trust awards Leverhulme Arts Scholarships for postgraduate dance and music, and for the first time funds undergraduate music and musical theatre. Significantly, we have received a transformational uplift for our Junior Trinity and CAT programmes, ensuring we can award bursaries for under 18s and build pathways into conservatoire training. As 2024 comes to an end, I am proud to share my biggest achievement of the year - securing the Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship which I will begin in January 2025! A new book 'Lordship and Landscape in East Anglia AD 400-800' on Rendlesham's royal finds has helped change the way academics think about the earliest English kings and their kingdoms. Professor Chris Scull at the UCL Institute of Archaeology who led the research through a Leverhulme Research Project Grant, said, "Our ground-breaking research involving Rendlesham has not only identified the places where these kings lived, and from which they ruled, but also how their ancestors fought to establish a kingdom after the collapse of the Roman world." We are delighted to announce that we have been granted over £614,250 of Leverhulme Arts Scholarships over the next three years by The Leverhulme Trust. This includes major scholarship support for postgraduate musicians, as well as for children and young people under the age of 18, studying with Guildhall Young Artists. An opportunity to conduct fully funded interdisciplinary research under The Leverhulme Trust doctoral training program at the University of Essex to quantify spatial extend and growth of existing reefs and pilot novel methodologies that facilitate reef development. --> An interdisciplinary approach that integrates the natural sciences with sociology to both explore the potential of NbS for coastal protection and the likely acceptance of these solutions amongst various stakeholders within coastal communities.
