What a busy week it’s been, thank you to LiNCHigher for hosting a great uni connect meet up, it was great to meet so many inspiring people from across the sector! Aimee & I enjoyed an afternoon at Nottingham College on Wednesday, helping learners with their personal statements and CV’s We ended the week with some DANCOP festive fun and I was honoured to host yet another team quiz, although I’m not sure my colleagues feel the same after the “Rollercoaster or Horror Movie” round! As we wrap up this year, I want to take a moment to wish all my colleagues, connections and friends a very Merry Christmas! May this festive season bring you joy, relaxation and time well spent with loved ones. I know I’m especially looking forward to spending some quality time with my two daughters. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration in 2024. I'm excited for what the new year holds and look forward to connecting and achieving even greater things together in 2025. I’m especially looking forward to the third year of our Future Leaders programme. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a successful year ahead! #MerryChristmas #HappyHolidays #LookingForwardTo2025

Uni Connect Meet-Up at Bishop Grosseteste University. We had an incredible day on Tuesday hosting the Uni Connect Meet-Up, bringing Uni Connect partnerships from the East Midlands and East of England to share ideas, reflect on successes, and discuss challenges. The day began with a warm welcome before diving into sessions led by our Uni Connect partners. Each session provided valuable insights into the amazing work being done to support young people across the region. After a morning of engaging discussions, we enjoyed a festive Christmas quiz and lunch, followed by the Activity Marketplace, which showcased a range of innovative ideas and initiatives. In the afternoon, focus groups allowed us to connect further, sharing thoughts and strategies tailored to our roles. We wrapped up the day by reflecting on key takeaways and looking ahead to the future. It was a brilliant opportunity to collaborate, introduce new team members, and celebrate the impact we’re making together. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a productive and inspiring day. Here’s to continuing the fantastic work in 2025💙 Bishop Grosseteste University Aspire Higher DANCOP Office for Students #UniConnect #LiNCHigher #Collaboration #HigherEducation #ChristmasEvent #OfficeforStudents

A very snowy start to the day but a really good one 😊 🌨 🚗 ❄ It was great to support Kayleigh Moore and Shaun O'Neill with delivery of the first LegoLincs sessions at John Spendluffe Technology College this morning. We were looking at building Resilience and the Year 9 students certainly demonstrated that with their Hopper Prototypes and improvements. ❄ Then off to Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Horncastle to deliver our brilliant Future Focus magazines for all of Year 13 and to do some planning for this year with their Careers lead. Now pleased to be safely off the roads and back home in the warm 🔥
