Lineat Composites
Renewable Energy Semiconductor Manufacturing
Forming the future of high-performance sustainable composites
About us
Introducing a new aligned fibre material format with superior formability to simplify composite manufacturing. Our fibre alignment technology produces highly aligned discontinuous fibre tapes that exhibit mechanical performance comparable to continuous fibre composites and have a greatly improved formability to simplify existing manual and automated processes. This forms the basis of high-performance sustainable composites by allowing the use and re-use of reclaimed fibres in composite parts, reducing the carbon footprint of composite materials. The tapes can be used as a direct substitute for continuous fibre UD tapes in existing supply chains for various markets including sports, marine, automotive, and aerospace.

We close the loop for carbon fibre with our alignment technology, but...those fibres don't align themselves and we are looking for a Lead Engineer to help us advance our technology to industrial scale! This is a truly multi-skilled engineering role, working on our process ideas from whiteboard conception, via detailed mechanical and electrical CAD designs to final commissioning. Do you have those skills, and are you not afraid to take ownership in machine development and get hands-on with assembling and testing custom designed components? Then this is the job for you!

INEOS Britannia Americas Cup syndicate is teaming up with Lineat Composites an innovative technology company based in Bristol, to identify and investigate circular routes for the recycling and alignment of waste carbon fibre. Material using reclaimed carbon fibre has been manufactured by Lineat using their patented AFFT process and is currently being evaluated at INEOS Britannia. Once tested, a suitable product can be identified for future manufacture and positioned within the Americas cup yacht development programme.'
