  • We’ve acquired the exclusive US rights for Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson 💥 The documentary, produced and directed by Dan Reed of Amos Pictures, will premiere in the US and Canada (English language) on Little Dot Studio’s premium documentary YouTube channel, Real Stories (6.5m subscribers), shortly after its initial UK debut, with Sphere Abacus handling international distribution. Leaving Neverland 2 continues the journey of Wade Robson and James Safechuck as they seek justice for their alleged abuse by Michael Jackson. The film captures their ongoing legal battle, the resulting personal toll, and the backlash they faced from Jackson's global fanbase. Reed, who produced Leaving Neverland 2 through his Amos Pictures outfit, said: “Premiering this film on YouTube is about breaking down barriers to access. Traditional platforms can only reach so many people, but YouTube offers an opportunity for this story to be seen by audiences on their own terms as it’s freely available.” Check the comments for the Deadline Hollywood article.

  • The Little Dot Studios Digital Media Network is set to DOUBLE by the end of 2025 🤯 Having successfully launched over 50 new channels, with eight more scheduled to launch over the next couple of months, we’re set to reach 160 channels by the end of the year, as we look to supercharge our network following a year of impressive growth. But that’s not all. We are: 🗣️ Extending our language offering - with Little Dot Studios Deutschland launching five new German-language channels to take its local offering to 25.   🎬 Expanding into new genres, such as anime, food, and travel. 💪 Growing and strengthening our core content pillars, including science, ancient history, and archaeology. We’ve also unveiled Little Dot Channels, a consumer-facing umbrella brand for our owned & operated channels. While individual channels will continue to maintain their individual labels, the new branding aims to help audiences and partners recognise the channels as part of our broader premium network. • Came for the coffee, stayed for the YouTube wisdom, and left questioning if Gen-Z live in a nostalgia loop 🔁 🤨 Yesterday, we hosted our first YouTube Trends Breakfast Briefing with Roya Zeitoune, Head of YouTube Culture and Trends, diving into what’s shaping audience behaviour on the platform in 2025. 💡 Our biggest takeaways: 🔹 Fandom fuels YouTube – 85% of people consider themselves a fan of something, and 73% turn to YouTube to explore it - that’s more than any other platform! 🔹 Creators drive understanding – more than 60% of people prefer watching creators explain a major event than the event itself, from cultural moments like Drake vs. Kendrick, to deep dives into their favourite passions, (however niche they may be). 🔹 Long-form content is thriving – 78% of Gen-Z watch creator-led videos about their favourite communities, and YouTube’s role in nostalgia & social connection is stronger than ever 💪🏽 Keep an eye out for our blog unpacking our key takeaways and more! 👀 And, as ever, a huge thank you to our incredible speakers and panelists Roya Zeitoune, Lucy Woodall, Robbie Spargo and Graham Swallow and our moderator and host Wayne Davison ☄️
