At this months sold out event we will be launching and showcasing the Networks mobile app and Daniel Salisbury from Capstone Financial will be one of our keynote speakers for the morning. Running a marketing agency is a rollercoaster of excitement, challenges, and rewards. As the MD of Coolmedia Marketing, I often find myself reflecting on the duality of the role. It’s not just about steering the ship; it’s about weathering storms, celebrating wins, and leaning on the invaluable support of a network of fellow Directors who truly understand the journey. I’ve learned that collaboration often extends beyond traditional boundaries. The relationships I’ve built with other company owners are not just about shared challenges but shared growth. One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned is the power of mutual support. Whether it’s partnering with other agencies, seeking advice from industry peers, or even leaning on friends in completely different industries, every interaction adds value. For example, a recent conversation with another MD about navigating team restructuring gave me the clarity I needed to make critical decisions. These moments remind me that resilience doesn’t mean going it alone—it means knowing when to reach out and leverage the wisdom of others. If you’re reading this as an MD / Company Owner, you’ll know all too well that the road is often challenging. But you’ll also know that it’s worth it. The impact we create—not just for our businesses, but for our teams and clients—makes the journey meaningful. Take comfort in knowing you’re not alone. For me, being the MD of Coolmedia Marketing is a journey of continuous learning, growth, and connection. It’s about embracing every twist and turn, knowing that the rewards far outweigh the challenges—especially when we have each other’s backs. Today marked the first #Connex event for Liverpool. 8 MDs in an intimate setting discussing certain pitfalls, issues and problems they have within the business. The 2 hour meetings consisted of each MD highlighting where they need help, support and guidance. Over 30 opportunities / intros were uncovered and markers put in place to ensure each business now goes away to work through their agendas. We will announce next week our second Connex event in February where we will invite in 8-12 business to go through the workshop. Feedback has been great, and we are already seeing movement in the group chat and I’m certain we will see great improvements for group 1 in the coming months This is a members only event so if you’re interested in booking on the next event email info@theliverpoolnetwork.co.uk
