Looking for a flatmate or a place to stay? UCL student Christian Brown and his friends Cezar Scerbina and Andrey Dobrov have launched a new start-up, Loby. It helps students find flatmates based on personality and lifestyle or sublet their apartment to make some extra cash. Based on their experiences of moving seven times and having 22 roommates in college, they built this app to solve a common problem that nearly 80% of university students face - finding housing is difficult. Loby stands out by using a machine learning algorithm to calculate compatibility between potential flatmates. Earlier this year they were accepted into the Launch Accelerator led by Jason Calacanis which marks a big step in their journey.
