Recreating special memories ✨ When Bruno had a #CardiacArrest after touring Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Stadium with a friend, he couldn’t remember any part of the day. On Monday he was back, this time with his heroes ➡️ #THFC legend Ossie Ardiles and our clinicians who saved his life. Spurs fan Bruno: “It was very emotional coming back. #DidYouKnow we currently have two fully electric ambulances responding to emergencies in London, with more to follow later in 2025? It also has 42 fully electric cars, 16 electric response vans and three electric motorbikes – all of which are driven by paramedics or specialist teams on the front line responding to patients. The electric ambulances produce zero emissions while driving which makes a positive difference to air quality. They also save money on running costs. Head to our website to watch a new short film following Molly, Himnah, Polly and Laura as they respond to emergencies across London for two busy back-to-back shifts in a fully electric ambulance: https://lnkd.in/eaZHzpUY #NetZero #Sustainability #Ambulance

This #MentalHealthNursesDay we are celebrating a decade of providing specialist mental health care across the capital! Ten years ago this week, a small number of mental health nurses began working in the #TeamLAS emergency control room, providing care to patients in a mental health crisis. Today, this team has expanded to 40 clinicians, including crews of paramedics and mental health clinicians responding to emergencies in fast response cars. Our mental health clinicians now care for about 9,000 patients a month, and only 18% of those patients experiencing a mental health crisis are taken to A&E. For many people with mental health conditions, A&E can be a busy and traumatising environment, and their needs can often be met more effectively in their own home, in the community or alternative services. “My parents always taught me to look out for people. When patients need our care, they are in some of the worst moments of their life. My job is to be there for them and give them the help they need.” Omar is proud to be giving back to the city he was born and raised in. His role, Emergency Medical Technician, is one of the steps on our frontline apprenticeship pathway where you can progress towards becoming a Paramedic. You may recognise him from the latest BBC #Ambulance series! #ApprenticeshipWeek #London
