Shockingly nearly 12,000 people sleep rough in #London every night. 😮   Food, hygiene, digital and clothing poverty are just some of the things that rough sleepers, the homeless and marginalised communities suffer daily. For many, just getting their hands on the essentials needed to survive is a daily struggle. 👍   That’s where Refuge Network International come in. Their mission is simple, to bring communities together to effect change and leverage corporate power to empower communities. Working with partners, volunteers and supporters they strive to improve the lives of those who need help, directly. They do that by providing lifesaving meals to people on the streets, providing essential items such as toiletries, clothing and bags and providing support to refugees, migrants and the homeless. 👏   That’s also why before #Christmas, the London Law Collective team volunteered with Refuge Network International to deliver a lunch service at an outdoor soup kitchen and hand out food parcels to rough sleepers in Central London. Not only was this a very rewarding day for us all, but allowed us to see first-hand the impact we can have together on the lives of people who need it. 🌍   Thank you to Charles Gimoh and everyone Refuge Network International on the positive work you are all doing. London Law Collective welcomes Senior Consultant Adrian Good   Bolstering our already strong corporate and commercial team of expert lawyers, we are delighted to welcome Adrian Good as a Senior consultant. 👍   Adrian brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of the financial and banking law sectors. His global career has taken him from New Zealand to Australia, Singapore and the UK where he has worked for multinational financial institutions such as BNY in Singapore, ANZ in Melbourne and Santander UK in London. 👌   Originally from New Zealand, where Adrian qualified as a lawyer, Adrian is now based in #Singapore, bringing further international experience and knowledge to London Law Collective's team of lawyers. 💪   Jo Farquharson, CEO of LLC commented: “We are delighted that Adrian has joined the LLC team as a Senior Consultant. It’s always inspiring to go back to where you went to Uni!   This was especially the case for Jo Farquharson, an Alum of The University of Manchester, who together with David Farquharson, visited the University last week and met Law undergraduates Ella Hilbert and Nimrah Imran who have been supported by The University of Manchester’s Access and Success Fund. 👍      This programme seeks to ensure that all students can fulfil their potential through Higher Education, regardless of their background, and Jo and David had the pleasure to meet with Professor April McMahon, Vice-President for Teaching, Learning and Students, to discuss the impact of this programme. 👏   They also visited University of Manchester Innovation Factory and met with Tibor Papp MD PhD MBA, Head of Investment and Licensing (Life Sciences). The Innovation Factory is doing amazing work to bring to life the ideas and intellectual property developed at the University with the aim of helping those innovations that have the best chance of creating social and economic impact.👌   As part of their visit, Jo and David also visited the recently renovated Manchester Museum, that re-opened its doors in early 2023 following a £15m redevelopment project. London Law Collective advises Schematiq on its acquisition by MDX Technology Limited 👏   Delighted that our long-standing client Schematiq recently completed its acquisition by MDX Technology Limited, creating the world’s first platform for model and data distribution designed for financial services. 👍   We have provided #corporate and #commercial legal support to Schematiq over a number of years. As part of this acquisition, we advised the business and their shareholders on the terms of the offer and subsequent sale to MDX Technology Limited, which included a pre-sale restructure. 👌   A collaborative and strategic move for both companies, Schematiq Founder Darren Harris has now been appointed Chief Product Offer at MDX Technology where he will work on aligning product development with business goals and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective product management. 👍   Alastair Page, Schematiq CFO commented: “LLC always provided an exceptional service.
