We are proud to share an excellent short film of the loadout of mooring lines and “Torpedo Anchors” for the Atlanta II FPSO. The moorings are installed in over 1500m water depth offshore Brazil and were designed by London Marine Consultants (LMC) on behalf of our parent, Yinson and end client, Enauta.  The FPSO will be connected up to the 20 mooring lines later this year. Each mooring line is over 2.5km long, making a combined mooring length of nearly 50km!!! The mooring comprise hybrid chain and polyester components. https://lnkd.in/gp_yAP9P #deepwater #FPSO #LMC #mooring #anchors

London Marine Consultants (LMC) have received funding through Offshore Wind Growth Partnership to further develop the DISCO BUOY. The DISCO BUOY is a simple, quick, and controlled method of connection and disconnection of the mooring and dynamic power cable for Floating Offshore Wind. London Marine Consultants (LMC) was honoured to attend the Atlanta FPSO naming ceremony at Drydocks World - Dubai on 13 December. We have been extremely proud to support Yinson Production and Enauta for the delivery of their new FPSO. LMC was responsible for the entire EPC refurbishment of the Turret Riser Balcony along with the design of the FPSO new mooring system.
