Thanks to the Architects’ Journal for reporting our complaint to Haringey Council about the recently-cancelled Bruce Grove tender. Started in early 2023, and cancelled last week, the procurement process cost LPF member practices more than £100,000 in abortive bidding costs - the total loss to the profession will be much higher still. If we are to have any prospect of elevating the profession's pitiful salaries, lowering barriers to entry, and delivering greater social value, then public authorities need to play their part in helping us to deploy our resources in a sustainable way.
