  • 🎯🎯When you have definitive plans to recruit, then working in partnership with a recruiter to deliver against your timelines is crucial, and having the right recruiter to represent your employer brand in a responsible and professional will secure the best talent before your competitor does. Often companies are keen to work with many recruiters at once to get as many CVs as possible, but isn’t that defeating the object of saving you time by doing the shortlisting process for you, evaluating lots of CVs that may or may not be hitting the mark, as well as responding to multiple calls and emails from different recruiters? How many times have you had repeat CVs sent from multiple recruiters, leading to more time trying to decipher who sent the candidate first and avoiding potentially being billed twice for a candidate? Recruiters are meant to save time and ensure that they are an extension to your HR or talent team, representing your brand as if they were an internal member of your team. The benefits to companies working on an exclusive or retained basis: - One recruiter contact with a thorough understanding of your business, culture and values - You role/s will not appear on several job boards with several agencies, which doesn’t reflect well on the employer branding, causing confusion to candidates when they have applied or been approached with the same roles over and over again - Structured process and accountability in line with realistic timelines If working on a retained basis, we are contractually obligated to deliver a shortlist of candidates within a certain timeframe and in line with your criteria, this ensures you can stick to a deadline to hire - We will treat your role/s as priority with your commitment to work with us exclusively - We utilise all resources to find both active and passive candidates, using our network and several platforms - We can integrate your employer branding into our process, streamlining the recruitment process and offering transparency to candidates - We will headhunt top talent and you won’t have to wait for top talent to approach you - Quality over quantity – comprehensive and structured resourcing, ensuring you have the best shortlist of candidates available at that time, delivered after a careful evaluation of talent pools. We work in partnership with clients on an exclusive and retained basis recruiting up to executive level. If you are planning your next recruitment project within your sales, marketing or communications teams then please get in touch to discuss: 01243 211072 / kelly@lotustalent.co.uk #salesrecruitment #retainedsearch #executivesearch #marketingjobs #salesjobs #saassales #mediasales #solutionsales

  • 🎯💡🔎Sometimes job interviews can be years apart or it may be your first formal job interview, so brushing up on some key interview preparation tips beforehand can be helpful to ensure you stand the best chance of securing your dream job. Here are just some things to think about in the lead up to your next interview: 👉 1. Research the Company Know their ethos, mission and values: Understand the company’s culture, goals, and recent achievements Research their products and services: Have a good understanding of the company’s services or products Understand their industry: Be aware of the company’s position in the market, its competitors and challenges 2. Know the Job Description Understand the role: Study the responsibilities and required skillset/experience 3. Prepare for Common Questions Tell me about yourself: Keep your answer focused and talk about your professional background and key skills Why do you want to work here?: Show how your values align with the company’s culture and ethos and any of their exciting achievements or plans. Strengths and weaknesses: Focus on strengths relevant to the job and present weaknesses as areas of growth that you’re working on improving. Why did you leave your last job?: Be honest, but avoid speaking negatively about previous employers. Focus on how you’re seeking new opportunities for growth and how you feel this opportunity can fulfil what was missing in your last role / company. 4. Practice Competency based questions Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to answer questions about how you handled specific situations in past jobs 5. Dress Appropriately Professional attire: Even if the company has a casual dress code, it's always safer to dress more formally 6. Prepare Questions for the Interviewer Show interest: Prepare questions that demonstrate your curiosity about the company and the role. 7. Body Language Firm handshake: A good handshake shows confidence and professionalism Try to maintain eye contact: This conveys trustworthiness and interest Posture: Sit up straight and lean slightly forward to show engagement. 8. Practice Active Listening Listen carefully to the questions before answering. Take a moment to collect your thoughts if needed 9. Be Confident, Not Overly Confident Confidence is key, but avoid sounding arrogant. Balance your responses with humility and self-assurance Be authentic—don’t try to be someone you're not just to fit into what you think the employer wants. Bonus Tips: Plan Ahead: Make sure you know the time, location, transport links, parking, the name of the interviewer/s and format of the interview. If it's virtual, test that everything is working ahead of time. Aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your interview time Be honest: If you don’t know something, be honest about it. Offer to learn or explain how you would approach solving the issue. #salesjobs #marketingjobs #communicationsjobs #saassales #mediasales #engineeringsales

The Impact of AI in Marketing 👨💻AI is here to stay and is quickly evolving to aid companies in a range of sectors from medical, retail through to engineering, but what does the fast-pace development of AI mean for the marketing world? 🦋AI is transforming the marketing sector, it offers innovative ways to engage consumers, optimise strategies, and automate tasks. As businesses are relying more and more on AI-driven tools, the marketing landscape is evolving rapidly, this has created both opportunities and challenges for marketers. 🔍Data Analysis - A significant impact AI has had on marketing is in data analysis. AI can process high-volume customer data quickly and accurately, uncovering insights that would be impossible for humans to identify manually. This data allows marketers to gain a deeper understanding of customer preferences, behaviours, and trends so that they can deliver more effective marketing strategies. Machine learning algorithms, can also predict future behaviors, this enables companies to make more informed decisions about product launches, pricing strategies, and content creation. 💘 Personalisation is another area where AI is making its mark. With the help of AI-powered algorithms, businesses can deliver highly targeted content, product recommendations, and ads based on individual consumer preferences, enhancing the customer experience, which in turn drives engagement, loyalty, and conversion rates. For instance, e-commerce platforms like Amazon use AI to suggest products based on previous interactions, creating a more tailored experience. 🤖Automating Marketing Tasks. AI also plays an integral role in automating marketing tasks. Tools like chatbots, email marketing automation, and social media management systems can handle repetitive tasks, freeing up marketers to focus on more strategic initiatives. AI chatbots, for example, can provide instant customer support, answer questions, and guide users through purchase decisions, all while improving efficiency and response times. Similarly, AI can optimize the timing and content of email campaigns, ensuring that messages reach the right audience at the right time. 🔮Predictive Analytics. Another key impact of AI on marketing is its ability to enhance predictive analytics. AI tools can analyse historical data to forecast trends and customer behaviors, helping businesses anticipate future demands and optimise inventory, pricing, and resource allocation. This capability is especially valuable in industries like retail, where anticipating shifts in consumer preferences can make a significant difference in sales. 🧠AI is revolutionising the marketing sector by enabling smarter decision-making, automating key processes and enhancing customer experiences. While it presents exciting possibilities, it also requires marketers to adapt to new technologies and stay ahead of the curve to remain competitive in an increasingly AI-driven world. #marketingjobs #cim #hubspot #ai

📣 In light of the newly released budget and with rising employee and business costs, it’s even more important to make sure that the people you are employing across your sales, marketing and communications teams are the right people to make sure its a successful long term investment.   🎯Although, yes, there is a cost to agency whether retained, exclusive or contingency, we assess all candidate pools across both the passive and active candidate markets to find the best people at the right time   🔎Advertising for vacancies will only give you access to an average of 55% of your possible candidate pool, the other 45% being the passive (non-active) candidate pool. In the Tech/Saas sector a whopping 57% are passive candidates   🖐️Candidates rely on recruiters as applying for a new job, let’s face it, is a job in itself and we have quick access to hiring managers and market knowledge, which is why the best talent may not be applying for an open vacancy but working with a recruiter instead   🥇We make sure that candidates are the right fit based on not only skillset and experience, but also culture and values and also that salary/package expectations are aligned, so that you have a shortlist of quality candidates after surveying a wider candidate pool Get in touch to discuss your next recruitment project across sales, marketing and communications. #marketingjobs #salesjobs #techsector #saassales #mediasales #engineeringsales Lotus Talent Solutions

🔊Amazon has recently announced a return to a 5-day working week in the office and they are now losing employees because if this strategic decision. For some people hybrid working offers a way to balance work and family in a far more effective way. Reducing the commuting time to and from the office as well as the cost to travel. For some it allows a time to really focus without so many interruptions to get tasks done in an ever-increasing fast-pace office environment. For companies they may want a return to the office 5 days a week as they feel this will speed up the decision process, automatic feedback and a chance for seniors to teach new starters and junior members of staff first hand. Some companies do lack trust in employees and think that work from home may mean you are not working when they should be. With all the modern technology it's quite easy to see if remote staff are being productive or not! I can see the arguments for and against, but I know first hand that working from home to me, means working longer hours as I work during what would have been my commuting time and it does allow a time for real focus when you know you have a mountain of task to steam through. I will always promote hybrid working, but what works for some may not work for others.⚖️🤷♀️ Interested to know your thoughts in the comments below and by answering the poll question and please feel free to share on to your network. 👍

🌟🌟Sales people, does your CV highlight the best of your skills and experience in a competitive market? 🌟🌟 Here are some tips for making your CV standout above the rest: 📢 Figures, talk about your achievements against targets, hiring managers and recruiters like to see figures/percentages and be prepared to be able to back this up 📣 How did you achieve those figures, you don't need to write an essay but giving some light into how you personally made this happen goes along way to show what kind of sales person you are 🌟How much of your revenue was from existing accounts, how much of it was from new business, break it down into a percentage split 📢Explain what solution or product you are selling, seems simple, but I have seen a lot of CVs that don't actually say what you are selling 🔦Explain gaps in your CV ☀️Are you selling face to face or remotely or both? 🔊If you were managing, what level were you managing, what were your management responsibilities? 🌟Write a powerful personal statement, summarising your experience, top hard and soft skills and what you are looking for out of your next career move 📣What seniority level are you typically selling to i.e. C-suite 📢 State what your target markets are If you are embarking on your next job search and need advice then please get in touch: 📞01243 211072 📧 kelly@lotustalent.co.uk #cvwriting #salesjobs #mediasales #saassales #techsales #jobsearch #solutionselling Lotus Talent Solutions
