Path Restoration on the West Highland Way 🍂 During the quieter season on the West Highland Way, some of our Glasgow team has been busy behind the scenes. Over two days of volunteering, they rolled up their sleeves to help restore and maintain one of our favorite routes. From digging trenches to trimming back overgrown foliage, they’ve been making sure the trails are in tip-top shape for future adventurers. The transformation is amazing! These two "before and afters" show just a glimpse of the trenches they created, which play a vital role in natural drainage. With Scotland’s famously rainy weather, these trenches help keep the trails from flooding, making them safe and enjoyable for everyone. Looking after the trails means a lot to us here at Macs, and we’re so proud to be part of preserving these stunning landscapes.
