NEW MONTH TAKEOVER - MARCH 2025 📲👤 Hey everyone! I’m Diego Lucini de Ugarte, and I’m taking over the MDS Instagram this month! You’ll be learning a lot about me, so stay tuned. Here’s a little overview: I’m a Group 56 trainee, currently on my first secondment at AF Group in Norwich as a Crop Inputs Specialist. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in June 2024 with a BSc in Biotechnology. My degree opened my eyes to the fascinating intersection of science and the food & beverage industry (yes, beer included!), sparking my interest in this wide-ranging sector. This afternoon, we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Leavers’ Lunch, celebrating the achievements of our latest cohort of Trainees as they graduate from the scheme. After lunch, we held our Awards Ceremony, where the prestigious MDS Awards were presented. With so many outstanding nominees, choosing the winners was no easy task! It was a privilege to recognise their dedication and celebrate their well-earned success. As our Group 53 Trainees complete their final secondments and take the next step in their careers, we want to take a moment to reflect on their journey. Over the past two years, they have gained invaluable experience, honed their skills, and built lasting professional relationships. It was a privilege to attend the Women in Food and Agriculture event in Amsterdam this week. From thought-provoking discussions on sustainability and leadership to meaningful connections with professionals across the industry, the event provided invaluable opportunities for learning and collaboration.
