About us

Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is the world’s most active cricket club, custodian of the Laws of Cricket and is also the owner of Lord’s Ground, affectionately known as the “Home of Cricket”. The MCC and Lord’s brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymous with excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, whether at an international cricket match or a special event. MCC is a club built on vision. Since the ambitious entrepreneur Thomas Lord staged our first match in 1787, we have been at the forefront of innovating the game, transforming it from a pastime into a global obsession. At our heart is Lord’s, the Home of Cricket. Taking care over every detail, we’re dedicated to growing its reputation as the most celebrated and admired venue in cricket. Yet our reach goes well beyond the boundary ropes of Lord’s. We take cricket further, making it more immersive, welcoming people of all cultures and backgrounds. Everything we do is for the good of the game – from working with local communities to growing cricket’s global influence. With circa 200 permanent/ fixed term employees based at Lord's, the Home of Cricket, covering a wide range of sectors, there is a potential role for you. Across the year, we recruit for both permanent and seasonal staff, across our teams offering competitive salaries and desirable benefits. We also recruit volunteers for match days to support and enhance the visitor experience at Lord’s. Our staff strive to help the Club realise its ambition of being the most admired cricket club in the world, and it is that unwavering drive and ambition that has helped Lord’s become universally recognised as the Home of Cricket.

  • MCC’s Community team expanded its reminiscence programme in 2023, utilising evidence from Dementia UK which shows that listening to or engaging in music can help people with dementia develop and maintain relationships with others and improve their well-being.   It is estimated that over 74,000 people in London are living with dementia, including over 1,800 in Westminster alone, and after initially inviting local residents to attend sessions at Lord’s, in 2024 MCC decided to take the programme to members of the community that may have issues getting out and about. The Club now delivers frequent music therapy sessions at three care homes and day centres in Westminster.   Taking the programme to the local community has more than doubled the amount of people that benefit from the sessions, with over 500 residents taking part to date. Each of the care homes and day centres taking part have said how their service users were “more engaged” after the programme and that the sessions are a valuable weekly resource.   Find out more: https://lnkd.in/dz5yrcDP

Take Her Lead is thrilled to welcome the Marylebone Cricket Club Young Female Broadcaster of the Year, Regina Suddahazai, as our new Content Creator where she will be responsible for managing our social media channels. Regina has been captivating audiences with creative content on TikTok and Instagram for over a year, using her platform to encourage young girls and women playing cricket to pursue their dreams in the sport. A passionate cricket enthusiast, Regina has been playing county cricket for Sussex since she was just 10 years old, making her Women’s debut in 2022. She has also represented Italy on the international stage, competing in a European World Cup Qualifier in 2023, along with several other international matches. Regina’s journey into professional cricket content creation began with Cricket District, the world’s largest cricket content channel, where she honed her skills and gained invaluable industry experience. This paved the way for Regina to enter the MCC Young Female Broadcaster of the Year competition, an initiative we proudly supported alongside Sky Sports. Designed to create more opportunities for young women in cricket media, the competition showcased Regina’s remarkable talent, earning her a well-deserved joint victory from a stellar shortlist of six finalists. Reflecting on her achievement and her new role, Regina said: “Winning the competition enhanced my knowledge of the broadcasting industry and allowed me to leverage the incredible platform of Sky Sports to grow as a female broadcaster and content creator.   “Joining Take Her Lead feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m beyond excited to be part of a team that is so passionate about empowering women in cricket!"   We can’t wait to see the incredible impact Regina will have on our community and beyond. Welcome to the team, Regina!

  • With #COP29 currently ongoing, Marylebone Cricket Club is proud to provide a season review of all the sustainability work undertaken so far in 2024, and the launch of a new sustainability campaign, Batting For a Better Future, encompassing exciting plans for 2025. In 2024, MCC made significant strides in its sustainability commitments by focusing on emissions, waste management, and energy efficiency. A big moment in the 2024 season saw the floodlights at Lord’s converted to LEDs, becoming the first major international Test cricket venue in the UK to do so. The Club recycled 51% of its waste, up from 17% in 2022, reduced water consumption by 15.5% and diverted 100% of waste from landfill. Innovative approaches included installing electric lawnmowers and using natural, recyclable coconut fibres for practice wickets. The culmination of the season also coincided with MCC releasing an updated version of its Carbon Impact Report, which builds on the success of last season’s net zero strategy. ‘A Journey to Net Zero Carbon,’ highlights the Club’s commitment to environmental sustainability and carbon reduction. Find out more about the work that MCC has done to ensure cricket can be played at Lord’s for many years to come : https://lnkd.in/gCVanxDe
