An interesting development in the certificate management space - cert-manager just hit Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) graduation status. They're streamlining TLS and mTLS certificate workflows in Kubernetes environments, which is pretty timely given Google and Apple's pushing for shorter certificate lifespans. What's cool is their aim to minimize the attack surface by reducing binary sizes. While the automation aspect is solid, I'm curious how well it'll handle complex multi-cloud setups. Worth keeping tabs on this one, especially if you're dealing with microservices at scale. The project's seeing some serious adoption with 500M monthly downloads, though I'd take those numbers with a grain of salt. #observability #kubernetes #CloudNative

Radiant Logic just dropped their Identity Observability feature within RadiantOne, introducing real-time data lake visibility for identity security. It's an interesting shift towards data-centric security and I confess not knowing much in this risk field but their offering of continuous streaming visibility and some AI-powered risk workflows. While real-time monitoring sounds promising, I'm curious about the actual performance impact on such a large scale dataset. The AI assistant (AIDA) seems useful, though I'd want to see for myself first before I comment. All that being said its a solid addition to their identity security toolkit, could help teams struggling with identity sprawl get a better handle on things. #Observability #IdentitySecurity #CyberSecurity

AWS CloudWatch just rolled out enhanced observability for ECS - giving us deeper visibility into container performance, from clusters down to individual containers. The update looks like its pretty handy for spotting memory leaks and resource bottlenecks quickly. While the drill-down capability looks solid, I'm curious about the performance overhead on larger deployments. The flat metric pricing structure's interesting, though I'd keep an eye on costs for high-volume environments. #observability #AWS #CloudWatch

I have been catching up on my reading list (before the madness of silly shopping season starts) and came accross Gabriele Bartolini article on the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) blog . It looks at a Postgres deployment approach using CloudNativePG to build a scalable, flexible, and cloud-neutral PostgreSQL ecosystem. essentially giving teams the flexibility to run production databases anywhere without vendor lock-in. Its a well written read on how they're enabling true hybrid/multi-cloud setups while keeping things standardized. (Those cloud provider DBaaS costs can really add up!) The bare metal performance boost is interesting too, though managing your own k8s stack isn't for everyone. #observability #kubernetes #cloudnative

An interesting article why Goldman's is shifting towards AI observability software stocks highlighting Datadog's rising prominence in its software. With a 26% revenue increase and expanding AI customer base from 3% to 6%, the market's confidence reflects in its 91% buy rating from analysts. This positions observability tools as crucial components in the AI infrastructure landscape. #observability #AItech #markettrends

Thought id share this great little code snippet by CodeWithVed on local Kafka ops management, their approach using client properties for IAM auth is spot-on (saved me from many auth headaches). Simple but yet straightforward CLI commands for topic management and message handling - especially useful when you need to quickly validate consumer group behaviours. #observability #kafka #aws

In my reading queue, this morning was this piece on Network Observability 1.7 for OpenShift. Really excited to see the new OTLP export support as it should make it a lot easier to integrate with existing stacks. The native eBPF filtering looks great too (filter on TCP flags? Yes please!) and the enhanced secondary interface support is going to be super helpful for troubleshooting those complex networking scenarios. #observability #kubernetes #OpenShift
