  • This #NationalEngineersWeek, we’re highlighting the importance of opening up STEM careers to more women and girls. In our most recent STEM Insights, we found that one of the biggest barriers to gender mobility in STEM is awareness. Many simply don’t know of the opportunities available to them. While education plays a key role, we must go further to make engineering careers accessible at every stage. Here are four ways we can expand STEM pathways beyond the classroom: 🔹 Career Transition Support – Encouraging women from other fields to pivot into STEM through reskilling programmes, apprenticeships, and returnships. 🔹 On-the-Job Learning – Promoting mentorship, sponsorship, and hands-on training to support career progression. 🔹 Industry Visibility – Showcasing diverse role models and success stories to challenge outdated perceptions of who belongs in engineering. 🔹 Building Career Networks – Networks play a vital role in helping women build confidence, access opportunities, and navigate traditionally male-dominated industries like engineering and technology. #LimitlessInTech is our initiative dedicated to creating more opportunities for women in technology - now a driving force in supporting women in STEM, from university initiatives to helping businesses tackle diversity challenges. Limitless in Tech provide access to mentors, sponsors, and industry peers who can open doors to new roles, career progression, and leadership opportunities. A more diverse engineering workforce isn’t just fair; it is smart. Research from McKinsey & Company highlights that teams with gender diversity are 21% more likely to outperform their peers in profitability. • The Renewables Talent Gap: A Growing Challenge UK employment in the renewables sector grew by 65% between 2017 and 2022, reaching 57,000 FTE positions—with a further 12% growth year-on-year in 2022. Despite this progress, the demand for skilled talent is outstripping supply. Traditional energy sectors remain strong competitors for talent, and renewables attract just 3% of Engineering & Technology graduates. Additionally, 42% of employees leaving energy roles transition to other industries, intensifying the challenge. Strategic workforce planning, a stronger Employer Value Proposition, and industry-wide partnerships will be crucial to securing the talent needed to meet growing demand. 📥 Get the full insights and our recommendations to future-proof your talent strategy at the link below. https://ow.ly/7msA50UCE4K #RenewableEnergy #STEMInsights #TalentStrategy #STEMRecruitment

  • We're off to a flying start to the year! We're now affiliated with the JIB. This is a significant milestone, not only for our Rail division but for the entire group, strengthening our Mechanical and Electrical support for clients. As a JIB-affiliated Employment Business, we now utilise the ECS Check service, ensuring compliance with the National Working Rules. This affiliation boosts quality assurance, unlocks new work opportunities, and reinforces our commitment to raising industry standards. More and more contractors are recognising the importance of having fully qualified workers on-site. With ECS Check, employers can verify that ECS cardholders meet the required qualifications, helping to prevent fraudulent or forged certifications from slipping through the net. This step aligns perfectly with our mission to provide top-tier talent and uphold the highest standards across every project. #JIBAffiliation #ECSCheck #RaisingStandards #STEMRecruitment
