  • The statistics are sobering: One in five engineers has tragically lost a colleague to suicide, and over a fifth have grappled with taking time off due to mental health concerns. Particularly, 'invisible' disabilities pose unique challenges when it comes to seeking support in the workplace. It's crucial to recognise that depression has risen to become the leading global cause of ill health and disability. As our last post as part of Men's Mental Health month we're sharing the recording of our webinar last year where Andy Bishop shared his personal journey and experiences, emphasising the importance of continuous dialogue surrounding mental health.     #Sustainability matters🏆🌳 I am passionate about many things that we do at Gattaca but two which are right up there, are:- 👍🏻Being a #purposedriven business👍🏻 As one of the ‘larger’ organisations in what we do around the world and supporting some major #STEM programmes. I have always felt it our responsibility to try and do more with that scale. To make a material difference to the communities that we serve, to the #environment, to try and challenge the norm and to…..’provide the skills/tools/know how/hunger to build a better future, one job/task/action at a time’. 🥇To be a #competitiveadvantage for our customers🥇 Working with us should absolutely enable the clients and candidates that we serve to be even better. This starts with having an amazing, well engaged, well tooled, well trained and well motivated team. Which I am pleased to say we have. However it also goes in to much more, how do we hold the mirror up to our customers, how do we bring more insight, how do we challenge and how do we #walkthetalk…..and for clients how do we add to their credentials as a major part of their supply chain. I am properly proud of how over the last three years we have really shifted; narrative in to action, unknown in to evidence based stats and intent in to results. So it is lovely to have this recognised by our industry with us being named #WINNERS of the ‘ #Sustainability Impact of the Year’ from the #REC A huge thank you to everyone across the group and our supply chain (up and down, who have been excellent on going on this journey. I am loving seeing what you all do to continue to bring this to life. A massive nod also to Lucy and Annabel who have learnt so much and in turn have helped us all learn and deliver.
