We've got some updated results of our recently published benchmark comparing MatLogica to popular ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, demonstrating that MatLogica is >40x faster than its closest competitor when it comes to pricing “down-and-out” European Call Option comprising 50K paths, and 500 time-steps. https://lnkd.in/da3jFJya
About us
Matlogica introduces game changing software products that bring GPU-like performance on modern CPU with very limited changes to the existing code base. This maximises the capability and length of service of current hardware setup without introducing additional complexity for software developers. Our solution is based on a scientific breakthrough in the field of optimization tasks developed by our research team at Matlogica. It involves using AAD (Automatic Adjoint Differentiation) and vectorisation which allows us to speed up repetitive calculations and their sensitivities to the whole new level. The performance of overnight batches can be reduced to close to real-time without extensive code rewrites or investment into new hardware. Our clients benefit from 35x-150x speed improvements to various use cases, such as curve building, XVA pricing and risks, what if analysis, model optimisation and similar. And all of this is accessible via "plug-and-play" ease of integration with very limited code changes. If you require further details please contact us at sales@matlogica.com

MatLogica AADC allows programmers and quants to use the technologies they love: C++, C# and Python (more in our roadmap) to accelerate both direct valuation and much desirable differentiable programming we achieve via Automatic Adjoint Differentiation. MatLogica AADC implemented an unorthodox approach that minimises required code changes and leaves the code readable and easy to support. We use operator overloading to keep the code changes small, and we record one execution of the program to extract the valuation graph used to generate a kernel. This kernel uses the CPU optimally, and will process multiple samples in parallel, such as revaluation, scenario analysis, Monte-Carlo simulation or similar. This approach allows us to speed up the existing ‘direct’ code, bringing 150x-1770x performance improvements (depending on the efficacy of the original code), and we can also automatically record the adjoint version of the code

Great analysis Kacper.
MatLogica is excited to share the results of our recent #benchmark comparison of the AADC framework against other popular frameworks like #TensorFlow, #PyTorch, and #JAX. The results are striking: AADC demonstrated execution times of just 0.074 seconds for the first pass and an impressive 0.006 seconds for the second pass, significantly outperforming its competitors! This performance leap is particularly significant for quantitative finance workloads, which often involve a large number of nodes with smaller computations, unlike traditional #machine learning tasks that typically have fewer, larger nodes. AADC is specifically designed for #quant workloads, where graph compilation time is key, and it efficiently leverages #AVX512 hardware capabilities. Support of #NumPy, and the ability to record through a mixture of #C++ and #Python, transforms how we approach quantitative finance, providing a robust solution that can handle complex simulations and AAD efficiently. We'd like to thank Kacper Urbański for his thorough analysis. (code available on request)

MatLogica reposted this
On the final evening of QuantMinds International, Dmitri Goloubentsev, CTO, Head of Automatic Adjoint Differentiation at MatLogica, and George Petropoulos, Chief Product Officer for Trading Pricing and Risk at Delta Capita hosted an engaging roundtable discussion where we were honoured to have quant luminaries Jesper Andreasen, Peter Jäckel, and Serguei Issakov join us. 💬 The session focused on brainstorming straightforward approaches for modelling trade structures and a thought-provoking discussion on what should constitute the optimally constructed DSL. 🧠 Delta Capita is driving increased interest in the Matlogica AADC platform that complements its Pricing & Risk offering. 📈 ➡️ Find out more about our Pricing & Risk capabilities here: https://lnkd.in/d5nPJhxQ #QuantMinds #QuantFinance #Digital #Innovation #Derivatives #PricingAndRisk #Reinventing

🌟 Great discussions at QuantMinds! Last night, Dmitri Goloubentsev and George Petropoulos led a lively session on optimal DSL design, joined by thought leaders like Jesper Andreasen, Peter Jäckel, and Serguei Issakov. 💡 Insights from this session are shaping MatLogica’s work on xVA by regression. Check out our project on GitHub! https://lnkd.in/diWQKsRj #QuantMinds #Innovation #MatLogica 🚀
✨ Last night at QuantMinds in London, MatLogica's Dmitri Goloubentsev and Delta Capita's George Petropoulos co-hosted and led a discussion on what should constitute the optimally constructed DSL. 🙌 We had a great turnout for the discussion, including Jesper Andreasen, whose earlier work with Antoine Savine in this area inspired Dmitri's developments on this topic. Amongst others, Peter Jäckel and Serguei Issakov assisted in the discussion. 🗣️ The panel helped drive a lively discussion on this important area. The input benefits MatLogica's plans on xVA by regression. 📌 If you want to find out more, please reference the project on GitHub! 🖥️ https://lnkd.in/dBgYwq5r

Looking forward to meeting everyone at QuantMinds in London this week!
📅 On Wednesday evening (20th November at 18.10) at QuantMinds in London, Dmitri Goloubentsev of MatLogica will be leading a roundtable discussion with George Petropoulos, Delta Capita's Chief Product Officer for Pricing and Risk. 💡 The session will include: 🧠 Brainstorming how to achieve/design a straightforward approach for modeling trade structures. 🛠️ Many FIs use complex proprietary DSLs for trade cash flows and pricing, often lacking support for callable features, xVA, and AAD. 🔍 In this session, we want to discuss a straightforward approach for modeling trade structures, covering settlement, pricing, and risk, that suits vanilla, exotic auto-callable, callable products, and xVA. ⚙️ This cashflow-based framework should be intuitive for quants and traders, supporting advanced pricing and risk techniques like Monte Carlo, American Monte Carlo, xVA, and AAD. 📍 MatLogica will also be an exhibitor at the event. If you are attending, please don't hesitate to drop by the stand, and we can explain further! 🚀
