Orthopaedic surgeons in North Wales are trialling advanced augmented reality (AR) technology to improve patient outcomes in total knee replacement surgery. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Madhusudhan Raghavendra was the first in NHS Wales to use this technology during a procedure at Abergele Hospital. He said: “As a surgeon this technology will really improve the accuracy when it comes to these types of operations and I’m really pleased with the results so far. “Not only will it benefit our patients but our junior surgeons will also be able to experience this technology which will provide some excellent experience for them.” 👉 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eXXVGM36 Pixee Medical

MatOrtho Ltd is pleased to introduce Alastair Richardson as the newly appointed National Sales Director for ANZ, starting January 20th, 2025. Alastair brings extensive experience in the orthopaedics and medical device sectors, most recently serving in a Sales Lead role for Trauma at Stryker. In this role, he successfully led sales and clinical teams across NSW, ACT, and WA. A Great Start to the New Year at Royal Derby! There was a real buzz in the Royal Derby theatres earlier this month as Mr. Mark Andrew Sohatee completed his first ADEPT® Hip Resurfacing procedure for a patient requiring more than a conventional total hip replacement could provide. Right patient, right pathway, right surgeon = fantastic outcome!
