This new collaboration with Maudsley Innovation will allow us to utilise our strong expertise across SLaM, accelerating early-stage and innovative startups with the highest potential to transform mental health outcomes.
📣 Exciting news in mental health innovation! 📣 We’re thrilled to announce that KHP Ventures has launched Europe's first NHS-partnered fund dedicated to scaling innovative mental health startups. The Innovations in Mental Health Fund, in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, will accelerate the development of digital mental health technologies. In the UK, over 3m people - 6% of the population - were in contact with mental health services during 2021/22. Despite an abundance of wellbeing and consumer solutions, there is little evidence that these help individuals with clinically diagnosed mental health disorders. What you need to know: 🌐 Applications are open today for early-stage digital technologies that address depression, anxiety and psychosis-related disorders. 📈 Successful applicants will join our 12-week Immersion Programme, which will provide unparalleled hands-on support and access to deep clinical and entrepreneurial expertise 🚀 Participants will be considered for investment of up to £1m per company 💰 Wellcome Trust is the anchor investor in the Fund, which will close in 2025 with a total target raise of £20m. ➡️ Apply here: https://lnkd.in/dMEMx6PK ➡️ To find out more, Founders can join a webinar on 17 December (at 12pm and 4:30pm GMT) or take a look at our FAQs on the site. A big thank you to our partners at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and a big thank you to Mike Butcher ✍️ at TechCrunch for the write up! ➡️ Link to the piece: https://lnkd.in/dbvbRxtE Pooja Sikka Daniel Dickens Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram FRCS (Plast), BEM Tim Irish Candice Hampson Jing Wei Luo (羅敬為) Madhav Mahendra Dr Patrik Bächtiger Lynsey Bilsland Elena Netsi Professor Miranda Wolpert Sean Cross David Bradley Danny Bosch, PhD FRSA Jennifer Owen Aahuti Rai #MentalHealthInnovation #HealthTech #MedTech #MedTechInnovation #funding #MedicalDevice #FundingNews #venture#investments#TechNews #Innovation
