Funding for schools will increase by £2.3billion next year, £1 billion of that funding is for high needs, recognising the immense need for adequate Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision within the sector. 🎉 Exciting day for St. Peter’s National School in Dromiskin, Co. Louth! The official opening of their new extension was celebrated with the Board of Management, the Minister for Education - Norma Foley TD, students, and staff all in attendance. Delivered by McAvoy, through Vision Contracting, this extension includes two new classrooms, a resource room, an assisted user toilet, and updated office and storage spaces. It was a pleasure hosting staff and students from Leeds City College this week, as they got to see first-hand how their new college building is being manufactured, and how McAvoy maximise offsite works - including M&E and internal fit-out.   The group also got the chance to build a scale model of a module which helped them better understand the offsite manufacturing process, and were also able to walk through their new building during a VR demonstration.    Due for completion in Spring 2025, the new facility will provide additional T-Level teaching space for 300 Sports & Exercise and Applied Science students. We’re excited to announce the completion of four new education projects across three school sites in South Wales! 🎉 The client had an urgent requirement to increase education facilities across multiple schools within the local area. Each project utilised our SmartClass® solution, creating a KS2 double classroom, ALN Facility, childcare unit, and KS1 classroom — all with age-appropriate facilities. Sustainability and energy efficiency were key priorities.
