🔈✨ REBRAND ANNOUNCEMENT Following H. Malone & Sons Ltd acquisition of McNally and Thompson Ltd (UK Contracts) Ltd in June 2022, we have worked towards fully integrating the two companies and have decided it is now time to rebrand McNally & Thompson and adopt the H. Malone name. From January 2025, H. Malone Mechanical & Electrical Services will be a fully integrated M&E contractor with all existing McNally & Thompson staff retained. This brings our mechanical and electrical teams together as one into the H. Malone family business. We are grateful to Fred Hood for all his hard work and commitment in making McNally & Thompson a successful and highly regarded electrical contractor when we made the acquisition in 2022, and for his efforts in helping the integration run smoothly and efficiently. Since taking control of McNally & Thompson in 1997, Fred grew the business from a £300k turnover with 4 electricians and 2 part time staff to a £14m turnover business with 60 staff in 2021. Dave Wealleans has also played a vital role in McNally & Thompsons success since joining in 2013 and we would like to thank him for his invaluable contribution before and after the acquisition. Although it is sad to see the McNally & Thompson brand go, we are excited at the potential of what our combined M&E business will offer our employees and clients as we approach our 100th anniversary in 2026 💫

Artech Lighting has successfully delivered over 800 of our lighting fixtures to the new QECommunity Diagnostic Centre at the Metrocentre in Gateshead, supplying products from nine of our lighting ranges to the project!💡 What was once a retail unit has been transformed into a leading-edge medical facility as part of an £18.6m investment to improve diagnostic services for the local community, with all the lighting crafted locally in County Durham.    We understand that lighting plays a pivotal role in creating the right atmosphere for each environment, and our ranges such as Flowline, Nitor and Orbis, enhance the sleek spaces that are beautifully lit with a modern feel.    Thank you to McNally and Thompson Ltd for trusting Artech with this prestigious project   We’re delighted to support the NHS in this development and the surrounding community!✨   Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Yesterday, some of us attended the Constructing Excellence in the North East "Smart Construction" event, and are bringing some new, innovative ideas back to the office! ✨ The event showcased cutting-edge technologies and best practices in the construction industry, sparking (pun intended) fresh perspectives on how we can enhance our projects, exploring new ways of working that align with our commitment to excellence. A beautiful rainbow over Amble marked the handover of the former Amble Middle School site. 🌈 We are so thrilled to have played a part in this fantastic project! The site is being transformed into a brand-new home for Amble First School, which will soon provide 210 primary school places and a 26-place nursery. It will also include a 50-place satellite location for Barndale House School, creating much-needed space for children with special educational needs.
