Today, our team at M.E.C Mortgages had the privilege of stepping away from our regular routines to participate in a volunteering day for Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity 🤝 The day began with a warm welcome on a cold Friday morning from Sophie, who shared insights into their mission and the significant impact they have on the children and their families. Hearing about their incredible work was both humbling and inspiring, setting the tone for the meaningful day ahead. We got involved with the distribution of leaflets for the Christmas Tree Recycling Campaign, where the charity will collect your Christmas tree direct from your drive or front gate and recycle it in exchange for a donation 🎄 The suggested donation is £20, but we ask you to donate whatever you can afford to help children under 5 with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments live their best lives. Just simply leave your Christmas Tree outside your front door before Friday 3 January and Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity will collect it for you. Bookings are now live, please book before Friday 3 January 2025. There’s no need to pick a time as we’ll be collecting trees throughout Saturday 4, Sunday 5, and Monday 6 January straight from your door. Postcodes covered by the Christmas Tree collection are: RH6, RH7, RH10, RH11, RH12, RH13, RH15, RH16, RH17, RH18, RH19, BN6, BN7, BN8, BN44, BN45, TN6, TN7, TN8, TN20, TN21, TN22.
